Inkspiration Challenge #72

Hey everyone!

I am sure the weeks are getting faster. Didn’t I just do #71 yesterday?! LOL! I must say I love it though. It ensures I keep playing with my goodies and also using the grey matter to create something different each time….well at least I try to! Hehe!

This weeks colours were a little difficult for me. I tried several options but having Not Quite Navy as a predominate colour on this card would just not work. So in the end I used it to stamp the sentiment. It seems a lot like cheating doesn’t it? LOL!

Again this week I played with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint {so lurve this stuff}. This time though I just stamped the image in Peach Parfait and then using a paint brush, painted the shimmer over the top. You cannot see it too well but I ran a sponge dauber, dipped in shimmer paint, around the edges of the card. You can just see it along the top………well I can anyway! LOL!

Heres a closer look at that flower

I pulled out an old favourite, Petal Pizzazz. I bet you noticed! I seem to go through some favourites don’t I? Currently it is Elements of Style, but that could soon turn into Nature Walk…….but then again French Foliage is a new one I have just acquired! Hmmmmmmm! I will let you know! LOL!

Don’t forget to go to the Inkspirations Challenge Blog to link your creation and of course check out the rest of the DT.

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #25

Hey everyone!

It is time for an Inkspiration Challenge! It feels like I haven’t done one in months. I think it’s because so much has happened in the past two weeks. But OOhhhhh what FUN it was!! I am in super excited mode and I’m lovin’ it! LOL!

This weekend I have a plan! The plan is to do some baking……and then spend the rest on doing some different cards……I say different because I have realised that I have been doing the same sort of card for a very long time….you know the one where I just stamp an image or two and I’m done….I find I am not branching out and trying new techniques. What I want you guys to do is leave for me in the comment section {or email, whatever is easiest} a technique you would like to see me do! Preferably something I haven’t done before or even something I haven’t done in ages. Don’t be shy….I’m up for anything……within reason!! LOL!! I might even have a gift for the best suggestion!

Anyway onto this weeks Inkspiration

I of course reached for the stamp set I usually go for {hence the challenge}, but you have to admit I get good use of it. I just can’t help thinking that a lot of my other sets are getting ignored.

  • Stamp Set- Petal Pizzazz, On Your Birthday, Cheep Talk
  • Cardstock- Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla
  • Ink– Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron
  • Accessories– Melon Mambo Ribbon, Pumpkin Pie Button, Build-A-Brad, Clear Rhinestones, Dimensionals, 1/2″ Circle Punch

I did however do something I haven’t done before and that is one of Teneale’s fabulous faux bows. How did I do? Does it pass?  I think my tails are a little long, but not bad for my first attempt!

Keesh has a huge announcement over on her blog about the changes that will be happening to the Inkspiration challenges. I think you are gonna like the changes A LOT!!!! So get on over there and check it out!

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT too!

Anyhoo! I look forward to your suggestions on a technique you would like me to do.

Birthday Pansies!

Hey everyone!

You are all probably thinking I have dropped off the face of the planet. Actually I probably have!! I have not been with it at all lately! My crafting has dropped right off and I am behind in DT obligations. So hopefully I can get my act together very soon! In the meantime though I thought I would show you a card I made for a special friend. She will remain nameless until I can verify that she has received it…. I know she is one of my blog stalkers! LOL!

Actually the person who I made it for inspired me  to make this creation……Oh DEAR!!  I just quite possibly gave too much away!! ……..Oh well!!….LOL! Just pretend you didn’t read that!

Retreat challenges!!

Hey everyone!

While we were away on the retreat Madonna set some challenges. We used the three challenges set by the Elite Challenges blog for the month of March. We are sooo lucky to be part of a fantastic team!! We all had heaps of fun with these! I did the Stamp Set challenge even though it was a SS I struggle with. You will se my creation on here in the next couple of days!

Here is the colours

and of course here is my creation

Looks very much similar to a card I have done just recently. I am sure you remember it. I used Tangerine Tango. I just love this stamp set, I suppose you can tell that already! LOL!

I stamped the Baja Breeze flower in second generation and used my blender pen and Baja Breeze Ink to add the spots. I wasn’t going to do that but first generation flower was too strong and the second seemed to get lost on the card, hence the spots. I think it turned out very well. So well in fact that I received 2nd prize for this card. Mads organised gifts for all the challenges in first second and third! Isn’t she super nice?!

Well best be off and do some creating today. I got something in the mail yesterday that I am itching to play with!

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #19

Hi all!

We are back this week to resume the Inkspiration challenges and of course it is time for a sketch challenge. I have to say I have been struggling these past 2 weeks to come up with anything I think is decent. Most of what I have been doing has been rushed and not thought out well, mainly because I am pushed for time. Therefore I think my creations have been lacking. I hope this doesn’t happen often!

Here is our sketch-

Here is my creation-

I have been wanting to have a go at the faux suede technique and decided to implement it in this sketch. I first saw the technique on my upline Madonna’s blog. I love it. I might play with it some more. I am still not too sure about the whole ensemble though….what do you think?

  • Stamp Set– Petal Pizzazz, Baroque BG, Pocket Silhouettes, Really Retro
  • Cardstock– Very Vanilla, Rose Red, Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette
  • Ink– Rose Red, Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette, Versa Mark
  • Accessories– Clear Rhinestones, Pink Pirouette button, Crimper, bone folder, dimensionals, Cutter Kit

Check out the rest of the DT

Well about this time I should be on the Sunshine Coast enjoying a glass of wine with the girls all on the team retreat organised by our awesome upline Madonna! I am going to have a SUPER weekend I can assure you.

Thanks for dropping by!

Time for some Pizzazz!

Hi all!

I have been trying so hard to organise my time a little better to get more crafting achieved but I seem to be struggling! This weekend however my hubby offered to look after 7 children, that’s right seven, for the day so my good friend and downline Tina could have some stamping time. Mind you Tina had 6 children spend the night with her last night and I had one! LOL! So it seems I did not see a lot of my kids this weekend. I am sure this week will more than make up for that one! Here is one of the creations I made-

Again I mixed up a few SS to create this masterpiece (scoff…scoff). I love doing that. I tell you though, it took me some time to get to the final product. I just couldn’t get my act together! Afterwards I managed to get my workshop cards done, which I will show you tomorrow and I also organised my shoe box swap for later this week. I have one more major creation to finish for this week and I am done.

Elite Challenge….colour explosion!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to show you the other card I submitted to the Elite Challenge  blog. This one was a colour challenge and you won’t believe it but it was another pink and black challenge….oh and Kiwi Kiss. But the pink was the brightest pink in the SU colour family. Pink Passion.

Now please pop on your sunglasses before you view this one…hehehe!

I love Petal Pizzazz and I have been informed by quite a lot of my visitors that they have now bought or want to buy this stamp set because of my creations I have put up here on my little bit of blogging heaven….hehehe. I have also heard Organic Outlines is becoming one your favourites…… I’m so evil. But if I get even a little of your creative juices flowing I’m happy.

Thanks for dropping by!

Team Day!

Hey everyone! I had a great day today with my team members……well most of them anyway….. LOL! There was lots of giggles and belly laughs. I should have these days more often. What do you think girls?? Anyway I made my beautiful team some gifts….wanna see?

As you can see I used the same colours as the Pretty Petals card I posted the other day. Aren’t they just divine?! The Polka Dot BG was clear embossed and I love how well it goes with the Petal Pizzazz set. I also had another go at the Tucked Away, Timeless Template from Papertrey Ink. But in the mini version. I put in some of those new Dove Caramel Chockies…………… MMmmmmmmm….might need to go get one of those….be right back……Okay I’m back! They are sooo nice! Might have to make more of these gift boxes though they are so sweet……LOOK I have chocolate on the brain now……that means I’m no good for anymore chatter…LOL!

Yummy Jewelry

Hey everyone! AH HA! You never thought I would be posting again today did you?? LOL! But I do concede! There must be something wrong with me! {checking forehead for any signs of heat} Posting twice in one day??!! As you guys can see I’m lucky to do it once a week. But I was doing a little blog surfing this morning and came across Stacey Schafer’s blog and her Jewelry Colour Inspiration. I have seen these before but have never participated. I know, I know I’m slack! So here it is Jewelry Colour Inspiration #44-

I love the rustic and warm feel these colours omit! Do you feel it? Ooohhh I just love a challenge! Here is my submission-

IMG_7125_1

I hope it tickles your fancy…..I like this one a lot…..probably because I have used colours I don’t use a lot of, excluding the vanilla of course!

Well I’m still feeling creative so I might head back to my desk and see what I can come up with.
