Fairy delights!

Hey everyone!

I have just had the most enjoyable day watching my daughter Akayla celebrate her birthday with a group of friends from school and/or dance. She was up bright and early to wake me up and inform me to ‘quick get up and we can get ready’. My reply of course was ‘go back to bed its six o’clock in the morning’. LOL! The party did not start til 2pm. She was soooo excited, but when it came to party time she was a little pooped but still enjoyed herself immensely.

We held the event at Fairies on the Downs in Toowoomba. A gorgeous little shop that will host your little fairy or elf party. There’s face painting, fairy floss, fairy stories and fairy games. Lots and lots of fun! To top it off I asked an old school friend to make a Tinkerbell/Fairy cake. I tell you this lady is amazing! So very talented, her name is Heather and has her own business, Say it with Cake. Go and check out her creations….they are just fabulous! Your jaw will hit the ground just like mine. I assure you! My hubby went down this morning and picked up Akayla’s for me. Check it out-

Here is a close up of Tinkerbell-

And of course I have to add a lovely pic of the Birthday girl!

Oh my baby girl is growing up fast! But don’t they all.

Well I might just pop off to bed as I am beat and I have another big day tomorrow.

Thanks for dropping by!

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #16

Hey everyone!

My weeks are currently going by in Hyperthrust Turbo Boost. I feel like I am about a Lightyear behind. Just when I think I have finished for the day I remember another project, job or chore that needs doing. But that’s okay, after the 6th of December, things should settle down. So in a short 2  1/2 weeks I will be back to normal…….I hope! LOL!

But onto this weeks challenge-

This time I didn’t go with the butterflies, but I didn’t veer to far from them……owls are pretty cute and I haven’t played with my Owl Together Now set since convention back in May. I used it for one of my swaps. I had three different designs for my swaps, but Makeesha liked the owl card very much. I should play with it more. Here is what I came up with-

I really like how this one has turned out. You should have seen my first attempt! It was shocking. It’s one of those cards you hide away, never to see daylight again…LOL! I made it with one of the preorder sets for the Summer Mini. The idea was good but the end result was BAD!!! Sorry Karen! It’s even worse than an ugly card. You can’t make me show it. LOL!

I used a bowl from the kitchen to create my circle. I will invest in some Circle Scissors one day soon I can assure you. With the heart I just smothered it in ink and then rubbed Crystal effects over it to make it glossy before I added the button and twine. The bottom strip of the card was looking a tad to bland so I used the tree from Thoughts and Prayers and clear embossed it to jazz it up a bit. Now I look at it I should have done that all around the card. Oh well!

  • Stamp set– Owl Together Now and Thoughts and Prayers
  • Cardstock– Very Vanilla, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss
  • Ink– Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Tangerine Tango, Creamy Caramel, Riding Hood Red, Versa Mark, More Mustard, Kiwi Kiss, Staz-On
  • Accessories– Ribbon Originals (retired), On Board So Tweet, Crystal Effects, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Aqua Pen, Designer Button, Chocolate Chip Marker, Cutter Kit, Twine, Scallop Edge Punch, SAMJ and Dimensionals

Don’t forget the rest of the DT and our special GDT

I have a workshop on tonight. The Stocking Stuffer and card. I’m all excited! It’s been a little while since my last workshop. It will be great to catch up with everyone. So I better get things prepared!

Trimming the tree!

Hey everyone!

I have a workshop coming up at a very good friends house {hi Rhiana}. Rhiana has requested a Christmas card and I had free reign on the design and Stamp set used. I wanted it to be simple but also elegant. I hope I have achieved that. What do you think?

I love this colour combo at the moment. You may of noticed….LOL! It’s a little different to the traditional colours, I think that is what I love about it.

Well here’s something you won’t believe….I have yet to crack open the parcel from yesterday with all the new Summer Mini goodies inside. So I’m off to have a good play with it all.

  • Ink– Whisper White Craft Ink, Versa Mark

Christmas Classic Baubles

Hey everyone!

Sorry about my absence of late…..I haven’t even got a good excuse! But it might have something to do with being so tired lately. I’m still juggling everything quite well but it might just be catching up with me. I just had two days of no creating…….of any means. Not even getting ready for upcoming workshops. But today I sat down and played to my hearts content…..have a look-

I just love this Christmas Classic SS. Very pretty! The baubles have been clear embossed. I know you cannot tell by the photo. I’m in poor photography mode today LOL!

This was a simple design that just popped in my head and I love how it has turned out. What do you think?

I have also been googling for the perfect and most delicious Cupcake recipe. I think I have found it. I will be trying that out this afternoon with the kids. Wish me luck…LOL!

What a FABULOUS weekend!

Hey everyone!

Yep! That’s right I had a fabulous weekend at the craft show! I met a whole heap of new people, not just customers but also other stall holders. I forged some awesome friendships this past weekend and it was very exciting!

Here is a few pics of my cute little stall

Next year I will have a bigger stall with room to play and show some techniques to some people! I must admit it was a learning curve and I can only improve it from here!
