Inkspiration Challenge #67

Hey everyone!

We are back!!! YAY!!! I know it was only a week off, but it felt strange not blogging an Inkspiration Challenge! LOL! I must say though I really needed it. Life’s been throwing the Brown family some curve balls of late, but I am sure we will get through it just like we get through everything else.

This week we are sketching it!

and of course my adaptation,

I am loving the Sew Suite set at the moment. I must say though……my main image went through about five technique changes before I decided on paper piecing it…..typical, LOL! My fave part would have to be the measure tape being screwed up to look like ribbon. I must say I love my colour combo too. Another selection from the Colour Coach. If you don’t have one of these already you must get one. They are an excellent tool to have when you are stuck for inspiration.

Check out the rest of the DT at the Inkspiration Challenge Blog and have a play with our challenge.

Inkspiration Challenge #66

Hey everyone!

Gosh guys….sorry I am late with this post. I thought I had something ready to be published, but I didn’t have a thing not even a draft….LOL! and I thought I was going so well this week. Well its’ colour challenge week and when I first saw them I had a small “OMG” moment! LOL! Take a look-

Without further ado here is my card for this week

I am in love with this die right now, and I plan to have lots of fun with it in the next couple of weeks to see what else I can do with it. The two half butterflies on the die were used to create the blue part of the butterfly. Folding CS in half, I cut out the big one first and then keeping it half I strategically placed it to cut it again with the smaller butterfly. The pink DSP is one of the whole butterflies on the die. Does any of that make sense??? I am starting to think it is too late at night to explain anything in great detail! LOL!

Here’s a closer look instead

I used the flourish from the Elements of Style (surprise surprise…LOL!) to decorate the base. The basic pearls to create a body and the pins are from my scrapping stash. I have had them so long now I cannot remember buying them…….let alone where from. I have had them well before I had even heard of Stampin’ Up! LOL! It’s great to see they were put to good use. Aren’t they the cutest antenna?!

Inkspiration Challenge #65

Hey everyone!

Well I have finally made it!! LOL! Not just the card but the post too! I apologise for not being here Friday night.Things are a little crazy here at the moment. But I am sure it will soon be over and things will be back to normal programming…..what ever that is!!! LOL!

Here is my sample

I am so in love with the stamp set, Nature Walk….can you tell?! I was in a bit of a blue mood this arvy and had a play with Marina Most and Not Quite Navy. They work nicely together.

Isn’t that bird gorgeous. These stamps have such intricate detail, simply beautiful. I coloured the image in with sponges and an ear bud for the finer details and shading.

Well  I hope you I have made up for being  late….LOL!

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT and leave a link to your sample at Inkspirations Challenge Blog

Inkspiration Challenge #64

Hey everyone!

We have a challenge this week that will really have your brain ticking over LOL! When I first saw it I thought there was no possible way that I would be able to come up with anything. I must say I really surprised myself as I haven’t picked up a stamp for over a week. Check out the challenge

I pulled out a set I haven’t played with much, but I really love.

I really love this. It is very simple, I know……butI think it’s cute and fun! LOL!

Isn’t Cajun Craze so very yummy?! It actually reminds me of the colour of tea. It goes so well with More Mustard and I did stuggle a little with the Poppy Parade, but I managed to put some in there on the cup and a strip of CS.

I hope you challenge yourself and give this combo a go…..just to prove you can do it! LOL! Submit your design at Inkspirations Challenge Blog
