Long time no post! I can tell you all the details about what I have been doing but I don’t want to bore you. We have just had some changes in our household and it is taking some adjusting. I hope to be back to regular programming soon.
Today though is all about the Festive Friday Challenge #16. It is all about punched flowers for a Mother’s Day theme. I hope you all get to play along.
Here is my submission for the DT duties!
Here are a couple of photos of it open
I love making different shaped cards and I wanted to incorporate the brand new edgelit die and embossing folder which is featuring in our new Autumn/Winter mini. The link to it is on my sidebar.
I also used new stamp set Mixed Bunch and the coordinating punch, plus some gorgeous new DSP called Twitterpated.
There are so many cute samples in this years catalogue that I want to CASE. Here is one
So very quick, simple and cheap plus a great pre-teen girls room decor piece. I know because my 10 yo daughter keeps asking for it! LOL!
This was made with a variety of punches and scraps of CS. After assembling all the flowers I gave it a light spray of the Vanilla Smooch Spritz. LURVE this stuff and I think I need to order another bottle or two.
I thought I would share with you all the current promotion with SU. It is a hostess promotion and it is super cute, wait til you see it.
If you hold a workshop in the month of October and reach sales of $450, then you will receive the Stitched Stocking SS (wood or clear mount) plus the Stocking Builder punch FREE!!!! Isn’t that super awesome?!
Pretty Cute HUH?
I have seen some beautiful things made with this set. I particularly loved the hobby-horse one. I will have to make one and share it with you all. But this is what I have made with it just recently
I just used the punch for this one and punched out some Designer Series Paper. In this case I used the Beau Chateau Range. The Polka Dot one though, is from the Mocha Morning Range. I used the Vanilla Seam Binding and twisted the tails to curl and adhered them down with Mini Glue Dots. I have accompanied this card with SS’s Creative Elements, French Foliage and Established Elegance.
If you would like more information on this promotion and/or you would like to host a workshop and you live in the Lockyer Valley or Darling Downs area I will be more than happy to help. Email me today!
I have finally had a play with my Build a Blossom stamp set……and I love it! I couldn’t help it, though I had to play with Calypso Coral and I teamed it up with Poppy Parade. I love them together. I used to struggle with Poppy Parade but with the new addition of Calypso Coral in our colour palette it has made it easier to play with. Have a look
I had lots of fun making this one. I only made it today too. Are you shocked that I am blogging it already? LOL!
I had a great morning creating with two new stamping buddies today. I started a scrap page, finished two projects and created this card. Not too shabby huh? I wish all my mornings were like that…lol! I bet your double surprised I blogged the creation on the same day! LOL!
Today I received my preorder…OMG!!! I am super excited about it. I have ideas that I want to put into use straight away but I don’t think that will be possible because there are too many floating around my head. Oh well! One at a time should do it.
I haven’t had a play yet though because as soon as my boxes arrived I had to hop off to Toowoomba with my friend Sandy for her Wedding Dress fitting. I am so excited for her, and oh my she looked gorgeous!!! But it’s all hush-hush, so I have no pics for you. My daughter Akayla will be her flower girl and she is super excited about that. She loves dressing up as a princess. So be ready to be bombarded with gorgeous pics of my girl late September.
While out we also went to Officeworks to bind my new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. It is divine ladies….wait til you see it. A bit off subject but while there I picked up a real bargain. They had a huge lolly like dispenser but instead full of different clips, mini fluro pens, animal rubber bands and so forth. You could fill up a plastic container for $4.99 It was great! They had these super cute magnet clips and I got two containers full. LOL! I will have a play with them and show you the results, but I see them as something really useful, not to mention cute!
Okay so I have something to show you all! I told you I have been playing with the owl punch, so here are the results
Aren’t they adorable? As you can see I made some pirates, cowboys/farmer, pigs, sheep, cows and just some pretty girl owls! LOL!
Here’s a close up of my favourite one. The pirate peg leg captain.
These are all packaged up ready for the Craft show I am attending in Gatton in November. I have so much I want to do, I hope I get it all done.
I know, I know……SHOCK, HORROR! I am doing a blog post that isn’t an Inkspirations Challenge! LOL! It had to happen sometime right?
This particular post is about my upcoming workshops here in Gatton and local city Toowoomba. After coming home from convention I was chock block full of ideas and inspiration. The inspiration for these creations originated from a swap I received from Pat Carr. Pat is one super creative punch art designer and I had a blast recreating it.
Have a look a the card class-
a closer look-
I love how cute this is and I have a recipient already in mind. She is my little princess Akayla. When she saw this she ooohhed and aahhhed for ages. Sometimes hinting at having one of her own, God Bless her! Her favourite colours too! LOL!
Okay, I also do a scrapbook workshop and I usually keep it the same theme as the card class. This makes life much easier for me, as I tend to take to looooooooong thinking about scrap pages.
I must say my daughter Jemma was horrified when she saw this photo. LOL! I think she forgot on the day of her 6th birthday party she had her face painted like a cat and then ran around for the rest of the day. She ended up looking like a witch NOT a princess!! LOL! I do love how this page turned out, but the photos doesn’t do these projects justice.
I have taken some closer ones though-
Gotta love that Champagne Mist shimmer paint and the clear embossing. I also sponged a lot of edges to add some definition to the page. I am sure the girls will love creating these projects. Thank you Pat for the inspiration!
