Inkspiration Challenge #92

Hey everyone!

It’s Inkspiration time, and it is a colour challenge. The colours are very masculine or Christmassy! I went with masculine seeing as I haven’t done one in a while.

I did add some material to the design but I still the I pulled off the masculine theme by distressing the material by pulling threads and scrunching it up before tying a knot. Let me know if you think I pulled it off. Would you give it to a male recipient?

I tied a little Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding around the material knot for added boost of colour. To add my background colour I applied ink directly to my acrylic stamp blocks and stamped them onto the CS. I love this effect for masculine cards. You should give it a go too.

Don’t forget to go to the Inkspirations site to submit your design to this weeks challenge and check out the rest of the DT’s fabulous creations.

Well I best get back to all the goodies I am creating for the Christmas in the Country Craft Fair. I want to have a heap of goodies.

Thanks for dropping by!

Inkspiration Challenge #91

Hey everyone!

It’s Inkspiration time! The sketch is pretty simple but suitable for any occasion.

My submission

I thought I would keep it simple and subtle and to have a play with a new stamp that I have had here for a month….Precious Butterflies.

I pulled out my fave circle tool, Circle Scissor Plus to make the two bigger circles and my 3/4″ and 1″ circle punches for the smaller circles. I used colours Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz. A very lovely combo!

Dont forget to check out the Inkspirations Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT’s creations and to submit your design as well.

Craft Show Creations!

Hey everyone!

It’s that time of year again and in a few short weeks I will be holding a stall at the Christmas in the Country Craft Show again here in Gatton. There are the most gorgeous handmade goodies you have ever seen at this event and is well worth the trip. I buy a lot of my Christmas presents here. There is always something new and exciting every year to look at and buy. Some absolutely talented crafters in every medium have their best work for sale and it is also the amin fundraising event for my kid’s school.

I thought I would share with you all today a sneak peek at what I will have there at my stall. And I mean a sneak peek. It is nowhere near what I will have on offer that day.

First up Bookmarks.

These little cuties were in our last Stampin’ Up! Impressions Magazine. They are so simple to create and I made a heap of them. Here are my two faves so far

I am loving the monster one. They couldn’t all be girl based,  I had to have some for boys you know, and I am currently working on a design for the older boys. Great Christmas gifts for teachers and dads.

Next I have some new embellishment packs designed with the Builder Owl punch

Some super cute reindeer’s with Santa and the next one I think is my favourite

Some super adorable monster embellishments. Use these on your cards or scrapbook LO’s. I am also working on some other designs I will let you know how I go.

The next lot of creations were lots of fun to make. I have seen these fabulous top note box creations getting around for quite a while. I found lots of Inspiration form two sites in particular for these. Gretchen Barron and Tammy Beaver are both very clever and actually have tutorials to sell and some are even free. You must check them out. They are both super talented, and I am totally in love with Tammy’s bunny! LOL!

The Christmas ones

How suoer cute are they?!

Next the Easter ones

Adorable aren’t they?

I have also made one Halloween one for now but I have plans for more so keep your eye out.

I have heaps more to do like put handles on them and I am currently on the look out for some plain dark coloured wire to use. Anyone have suggestions?

I have also been doing some more altered frames which are super cute if I say so myself! LOL! I will show you them soon too.

I best get back to it, I have a little helper here today with Tonsillitis so I better make the best of it! HAHA!

Framed Flowers

Hey everyone!

There are so many cute samples in this years catalogue that I want to CASE. Here is one

So very quick, simple and cheap plus a great pre-teen girls room decor piece. I know because my 10 yo daughter keeps asking for it! LOL!

This was made with a variety of punches and scraps of CS. After assembling all the flowers I gave it a light spray of the Vanilla Smooch Spritz. LURVE this stuff and I think I need to order another bottle or two.

Inkspiration Challenge #90

Hey everyone!

It is Inkspiration time and it is a colour challenge, and a really pretty one at that. I should have resorted to doing flowers because that is what I do with pretty colours, but I wanted to challenge myself to do something different. I will say I did have some trouble…..lol!

This is what I came up with (minus the couple attempts sitting in the bin…LOL!)

I pulled out the Up, Up & Away stamp set for its first play. I would love to play with it some more but I will have to wait.

The annual Christmas in the Country Craft Show is in less than a month and I have lots to create. I best get started….lol!

Check out the Inkspiration Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT’s creations and link us to your submission so we can oohh and aahh over them.

Christmas Stocking!

Hey everyone!

I thought I would share with you all the current promotion with SU. It is a hostess promotion and it is super cute, wait til you see it.

If you hold a workshop in the month of October and reach sales of $450, then you will receive the Stitched Stocking SS (wood or clear mount) plus the Stocking Builder punch FREE!!!! Isn’t that super awesome?!

Pretty Cute HUH?

I have seen some beautiful things made with this set. I particularly loved the hobby-horse one. I will have to make one and share it with you all. But this is what I have made with it just recently

I just used the punch for this one and punched out some Designer Series Paper. In this case I used the Beau Chateau Range. The Polka Dot one though, is from the Mocha Morning Range. I used the Vanilla Seam Binding and twisted the tails to curl and adhered them down with Mini Glue Dots. I have accompanied this card with SS’s Creative Elements, French Foliage and Established Elegance.

If you would like more information on this promotion and/or you would like to host a workshop and you live in the Lockyer Valley or Darling Downs area I will be more than happy to help. Email me today!

Inkspiration Challenge #89

Hey everyone!

I know I am posting this late….lets’ just say I wont be doing a scheduled post ever again! Not only did it not publish but it has disappeared like the last one. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. I’m pressing all the right buttons. I just think there is some glitch.

But now that I have time to write this post up again I will.

This weeks challenge is a sketch one. I must admit I made a few different cards before I settled on one. Don’t get me wrong the sketch is not hard at all, I was just being super fussy! LOL!

Here is my creation

I drew inspiration from a card I saw at the Melbourne Convention. It was a very simple one layer card and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.

I used the colours Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight. I also used Basic Grey for the sentiment.

Don’t forget to check out the Inkspiration Blogspot to submit your creation and have a peek at the rest of the DT’s gorgeous submissions.
