Glittery Good Friend!

img_6298_1

This is the first card I made with this new stamp set ‘Good Friend’. How cute is this bird?! The whole set is just adorable. I love the whole collection actually!! But if you want to see the whole collection and much, much more then you need to come to the catalogue launch I am having on the 8th of this month. All the information is in a post a little further down. So go and take a look!! I’m not going anywhere I will wait for you right here!! LOL

All I did to my little birdie was stamp him in Pacific Point (one of the new in colours), then cut out the body part, I then smothered the body in Crystal Effects, then covered it in Chunky Glitter. I then stamped several tails in Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze (more new devine in colours) and Pacific Point. Stamped another stamp out of the set to give that lined pattern. I then layered them up to make a bushier tail. He was heaps of fun to play with!

I do have another example to show you, but I think I will wait for tomorrow! Just to tease you….hehehe.

Better get movuing and do more work on the up and coming Catty Launch. Lots to do!

Cuttlebug Special Project!

Well I had a great day with Theresa today. While I made my project for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog (which is just sooo cute! Don’t you think?!), Theresa taught me how to make Fritters her way! Oh my gosh they were delicious! But not as delicious as her Pumpkin Soup, She promised to teach me that recipe next time. See girls I can craft and learn to cook at the same time….LMAO

I told you it was cute! I’m making nine more for my kids to give to friends and teachers this week before they start their holidays. I cannot believe how fast the first term has gone!!!!? What??!! Where did the the time go??Don’t answer that question! I don’t really need to know. I’m having too much fun!

If you would like to know how I did this cute little Easter Basket go over to the Cuttlebug Challenge Site and check out my tutorial.

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #6

I just couldn’t help myself, I went on the hunt for another Colour Challenge. I think I might be addicted……shhh don’t tell anyone.

makeesha-colour-challenge-52

The colours for Makeesha’s challenge are very similar to the ones I just did for Alisa’s Challenge. I also stuck with the same style I just changed the stamps.

img_6310_1

I’m thinking I may have used a little too much pink on this one. But I still love it. I made the Pumpkin Pie and Purely Pomegranate flowers a little more subtle by doing the second generation technique.

I’m off to go and find another challenge. I hear on the vine that there is another Kristina Werner CI up…….hehehe, see you soon

Alisa’s Colour Challenge #10

I thought I would give Alisa Tilsner’s challenge a go. This is my first time attempting one of Alisa’s challenges and I should do them more often. I should find the time, I should plan my day more accurately, I should do what I want……LMAO! I am sooo funny…..

img_6307_1

It involved a little bit of fiddly trimming but I love how this has turned out. I love the always bird, but have always stryggled to come up with something striking. I think this one has worked….what do you think??

Better get on to those other challenges.

Just a quickie!

I have had such a busy week! And now it’s going to get even busier. I am now preparing for my catalogue launch for early next month…… HOW EXCITING!!! and also a workshop next weekend. Not forgetting that I also need to buy some new bras….LOL! I went on Wednesday to fulfill this requirement……….what a nightmare! Their was only one shop assistant in the bra department in all of Myer and wait for it….. I had my 22 month old son with me, and what a little rapscallion he was on that day. Let’s just say at some point I pretended he wasn’t mine….LOL!

img_6305_1

Any way enough about my bra/child trouble. I thought I would show you this card that I just ‘whipped’ up last night. I love the Top Note die for the BIGSHOT in the US SU catty. I now have my very own template I now trace and cut around when I would like to use it. It is such a lovely shape. On this one I stamped En Francais BG on to Baja Breeze CS. I have also used Pink Pirouette, and if you don’t know by now they are two of our new In Colours for our new Catalogue. I have also used Kraft and Vanilla CS, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Regal Rose Ink, which was kissed by the Baroque Motifs Swirl in Rose Red. So, so cute.

Anyway had better think about picking my son up from camp, and the rest of my brood from school.

This is my submission-

I love this colour combo. Pink and brown with another colour added always works for me. Well as you can see I used the ever so fabulous Baroque Motifs SS. You can never go wrong with this set, so if in doubt pull out the Baroque…..LOL

I cannot stay to chat today as I have to go and pick up the kids. My son was in the School Swimming Carnival today and he will be so excited to tell me how he went.

Thanks for dropping by…..again!

Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge #1

I was blog hopping when I came across Dawn McVey’s Colour Challenge. You all know how much I love a challenge, especially a colour challenge.

Here it is-

Dawn found the picture in the Pottery Barn Catty. Is that duvet and pillow cases divine or what?! Now on to my submission-

img_6301_1

I had a wonderful day yesterday at one of my downlines home in her brand spanking new craft room. I’m so ultra jealous, but don’t let her know…wink…wink. Hi Sally! LOL. We had heaps of fun. And managed to make two cards. This one and another one that I will show you another day.

I thought these colours matched the Big Bold Birthday set perfectly. Plus it is one of my favourite sets. You might be able to see that I applied crystal effects to the sprinkles on the cupcake and center of the flower. It really made the card ‘pop’. I then tied linen thread to the balloons for even more dimension and lift. I think it turned out quite nice.

I hope to create some today….wish me luck!

Kristina Werner CI #46

ci1

This weeks Kristina WernerCI colours are just spectacular. They are so deliciously girl! You all know how I love girl colours. They are just simply irresistible. This is what I came up with-

img_6285_1

I pulled out one of my favourite sets One of a Kind. When I do challenges like this I look at my colours and I choose a Stamp Set that suits those colours. IYKWIM. For instance you wouldn’t put these colours with the By Land set. But then again would you? I think I will CHALLENGE you all. Make a card in these colours with a Stamp Set that you wouldn’t normally use. If you do participate, leave me a comment with a link to your creation. How exciting! Cannot wait to see what you create.
