So soft!

IMG_7394_1

Hey everyone! I have been a little out of the crafting side of things for a couple of weeks now……a little frustrating for me actually. I want to….but just not sure how too! Does that make sense? Probably not. I look at my craft stuff and a couple ideas will pop in my head but that’s it….there is no itch to sit and do it. LOL! Last night though I made myself sit…..and look what I made-

IMG_7392_1

What do you think? I love the Soft Summer set and it just screams “Layer ME!” I also had fun making it, so thats’ a step in the right direction……..right? haha. I love pink and brown together, it’s a combo I will probably never tire of. They give me the feeling of love and romance, masculine and feminine, rough and soft! They go so well together!

If you like the card leave a comment telling me what emotion or feeling the colours provoke in you.

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #12

IMG_7391_1

Hey everyone! I have to say it’s been a bit quiet on the creative front at the moment…….I finally decided to sit down and read the Twilight Saga. I don’t read a lot of books, mostly because of my limited time. I really love a good read. I have heard so much about this saga from SU buddies and such I thought I would just get the first book and have a look. I will be the first to tell you I am definitely not a vampire movie or book fan! Eeeewww….blood! But after reading the first book in less than 12 hours (yep I couldn’t put it down..lol), I went straight back to Toowoomba and bought the remainder of the books and the DVD! LOL! It took me by surprise I will admit!

But anyway onto the task at hand

This weeks Challenge-

Makeesha

Yep that’s right we are up for a sketch challenge-

IMG_7390_1

I kept this quick and simple…..what do you think? Too simple? Unfortunately the photo does not do this card justice! There is some faint 3rd stage stamping on the main image using some Winter Post elements. You might be able to just see them.

  • Stamp Set– Christmas Classics, Winter Post and Forever Flowers Wheel
  • Cardstock–  Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and Bella Bleu DSP
  • Ink– Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red
  • Accessories–  Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon, Cutter Kit, Sponges and Dimensionals

Please check out the rest of the design team-

Well I best be off and catch up with some crafting time!

Thanks for dropping by!

Inkspiration Inspiration Challenge #11

IMG_7389_1

Hey everyone! Second post for the day…..now I am positive something is wrong with me… lol! I first thought something was wrong with me as I looked at the Inspiration Pic….. I thought OMG! What the heck am I going to do?! Me…me without an idea is just absurd! Don’t be laughing Theresa! I can hear you from here!

Have a look-

Makeesha

Well most of you know I am a colour inspired person, you may have noticed with past Inspiration pics I have used the colours out of them….I suppose just like everyone else. The colours in this were really frustrating me. But AHA! I thought I can go with a theme instead!……I am soo clever! LOL! Being a kitchen….. and that all Cafe’s and ice cream parlours have kitchens. I went in that direction. In this case I went Strawberry ice cream. What do you think-

IMG_7382_1

Much like a menu board or something in that context anyway! Do you think I hit the nail on the head? I used a little hardware and clips to simulate the handles on the cupboards and drawers and look…..I used the Very Vanilla and Going Grey to simulate the colours I see…hehehe!

  • Stamp Set– Yummy, Tart n Tangy and Cute and Curly
  • Cardstock– Riding Hood Red, Going Grey and Very Vanilla
  • InksChocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Going Grey
  • Accessories– Riding Hood Red striped grosgrain ribbon, SAMJ, Basic Grey Taffeta ribbon, Eyelet Edge Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Brads, Clip and Dimensionals

I am sure the rest of the DT have some awesome examples to show, so be sure to check them out-

I hope I have inspired you this week to go forth into the realms of the deep abyss called crafting and create something magical! lol!

Thanks for dropping by!

It’s the little things!

IMG_7385_1

Hey everyone! While looking through my scrapping supplies for a LO I am doing I came across another LO I have not yet shown you. As it turns out both LO’s are photos from the same day. Even though they are similar they don’t have the same subject matter. You will see when I post the other one what the difference is. Anyway onto the LO-

IMG_7384_1

Of course I have taken some close ups…..

IMG_7386_1

IMG_7387_1

This collection of papers is from October Afternoon they are called Night Light and are just adorable boy papers. You should check out their blogfor awesome ideas! The DT and their ideas are just fantabulastic. I can only aspire to be that great…LOL!

The buttons are a mixture of MM, BG and I think Sassafrass Lass. The title has used October Afternoon Rubons and Stickers and Adorn it Alpha.

I hope you enjoy this LO as much as you have the others. I like this one a lot as I find these photos have a lot of blue in them and I think I have achieved balance in the colours. It was a mission I assure you.

Come back again later to see my submission to Keesh’s Inkspiration challenge!

Thanks for dropping by!

I think there is something!

IMG_7381_1

Hey everyone! That’s right I think there is something wrong……with ME!!! I have scrapped three days straight. That is just not normal. I now know it is I who is unwell and not my kids….LOL! I’m babbling on but this is true…I have not had a decent scrap session in at least three months. My closest friends probably thought I gave it away. All I have to say is…. AHA!! Have I got some eye candy for you now.

IMG_7378_1

Scrapbook eye candy that is! I just love Kraft CS. So easy to work with and you can add any colour with it. After pink and Kraft together my next favourite combo would have to blue and Kraft.

Here are some close ups-

IMG_7380_1

IMG_7379_1

This collection is called Fancy Pants Kraft Kuts. There are a few ranges available but I just adore this bird one. So cute! (sorry! proper name eludes me right now) But rest assured I did not steal it for the title, like previous posted scrapbook LO’s…LOL! The flower brads however are from MM. They are very cute little flocked numbers and are part of the baby girl range they bought out last year. Nothing like using up left overs hey?! The title itself is done with AC Foam Alpha Thickers and BG Chipboard Alpha. I have heaps of these on hand for a quick title. I just love them.

Well I hope I have inspired you to go forth and create some Scrapbook LO’s. It is gravy for the soul you know! You never know I might do another one…LOL!

Thanks for dropping by!

Just Chillin’

IMG_7377_1

Hey everyone! I was so inspired yesterday by the scrapbook LO I put up here I did another one. For those who don’t know Scrapping was my first passion in the papercraft industry. I still do try and get as many done as possible because I think I’m slipping down as far as 8 years behind in my photos now. Oh dear I better get moving!

I did a little shopping the other day at a local scrap shop and bought the some new papers. The ones I used on this LO are the MM Just Chillin’ range in the boys. I also liked the name of this range so much I used it as the title of the LO. Their matching embellishments are just gorgeous. I just could not go past the puffy alpha stickers…..just too cute!

Here is the LO as a whole-

IMG_7371_1

And split up so you can have a closer look-

IMG_7372_1

IMG_7373_1

Unfortunately the photos of the LO are not so great. I am still saving for that smaller lens, they will be much better quality after that.

These photos are of my son Darcy with his little friend Ava. Their birth dates are only four days apart, and have known each other since they were a couple of months old. On this particular day I had Ava over for a play with Darcy and they got on the lounge together and watched Thomas the Tank Engine. They both love that show. It was so cute! So of course needed a photo. I would call their names to look at me for a photo and one would look but not the other. I think it was the tenth go and they both looked…LOL! They are  just the most adorable children!

I might head off and do another LO! Just for Kolina….LOL!

Thanks for dropping by!

Mr Campy!

IMG_7369_1

Hey everyone! I have to say Cosmo Cricket  is one of my favourite DSP’s and I absolutely adore scrapping with them. The beautiful earthy tones and the sometimes distressed look of them are very appealing to me. It gives you LO layers and dimension without having to add or do anything to them. I love papers like that! Don’t you?

The particular papers I used for this double LO was called Mr Campy  and therein lies the title for my cute camping LO. Have a looksie-

IMG_7366_1

So you can have a closer look I have taken individual shots of each page-

IMG_7367_1_1

IMG_7368_1

These photos were taken on our first camping trip as a family. Darcy was nearly 8 months. We were meant to go to Fraser but there was a cyclone hanging off the coast and the island was shut down. We were so disappointed! Our first trip to Fraser foiled by nature…. Oh well! So we quickly set about looking for another fabulous place to get down and dirty. In particular somewhere to get away from the rain. The whole South-East coast was saturated, so we looked South at Northern NSW beaches. We ended up at Bundjalung NP, just before Grafton. You wouldn’t believe it the rain followed us!!!! After chatting to another friend who decided to head for Hervey Bay, I was told that it was nice and sunny up there… WHHHHAAA!!!! I was especially annoyed when we received a Severe Wind Warning that evening just after pitching up the tent and given the option to stay and brave it out or head home…..we stayed! It turned out the images in my mind of us all in our tent being swept up in a cyclone and thrust out to sea did not occur…LOL! I’m such a drama queen! But quietly I was absolutely crapping myself!

We stayed for three days and we got one sunny day out of it and these pics are some of the ones I took!!! I have heaps more to scrap of that day.

The birds on the LO are chipboard and I coloured them with VersaColour cube inks. I pulled the eye bits apart and then daubed the pads onto the chipboard. So quick and easy. Painting is very time consuming and I wanted a flatter look and the inks give me that effect quite well.

Well I am off to create some more LO’s. I bought some new goodies yesterday and I am looking forward to playing with them

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #11

Hey everyone! I have a submission to the latest Inkspiration Colour Challenge to show you all. Here is the Challenge-

Makeesha

And here of course is a snippet……

IMG_7351_1

You all know how I love to tease…LOL! I went very simple this week. A little Water colouring, some clear embossing and a teeny bit of distressing. Nothing to fancy, but I actually love this as a boys card. I might just take off the ‘You’re a blast’ bit and put Happy Birthday or something like that. So without any further ado here it is…..

IMG_7350_1

So what do you think? I told you it was simple but I love it….sort of…IYKWIM….lol! It’s going somewhere, let’s just say that.

  • Stamp Set– Pun Fun and Classic Stars
  • Cardstock– Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Water colour paper
  • Ink– Staz-on, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue
  • Accessories– Wheel Guide, Cutter Kit, Bashful Blue Brads, Aqua Painter, Clip, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Sponge and Dimensionals

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT-

I hope I have inspired you all to Water colour now. I find it very calming. At first I didn’t though…lol! It was very frustrating. Only because I didn’t have the foggiest idea what I was doing……actually hang on I still don’t know what I’m doing!!!

Thanks for dropping by!

Oh what a Launch!

Hey everyone! Well it has been a few days since I have put anything on here for you guys, and yesterdays usual Inkspiration post has been delayed due to the problems Keesh is having with her web host. But don’t worry it will not be long before we put it up. But what I have been doing is organising and getting ready for the fantastic Spring mini launch I held last night. There was lots of laughter and I’m pretty sure it was not at my cards…lol! Lots of fun was had by all and I also had the chance also to catch up with quite a few people. But I’m sure you would like to see the projects people made, so without further ado……

IMG_7354_1

These are the three projects everyone created. Following is some closeups and finer details about them all-

IMG_7355_1

  • Stamp Sets– Tree Trimmings and Occasional Greetings
  • Cardstock– Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Ski Slope DSP
  • Ink– Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss
  • Accessories– Button Bouquet button, Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Eyelet Edge Punch and Dimensionals.

This particular card is a mixture of two cards in the Spring mini on page 21. I also added a small strip of the new DSP Ski Slope. All three packs in the new mini are just divine….but I am very sure you guys know of my paper addiction…LOL! Well onto the next one-

IMG_7356_1

This is the same box I made a few posts ago. Check it out to get the template. The girls thought this one was pretty cute and had some fun making it.

  • Stamp Set– Oval All
  • Cardstock– Baja Breeze 12×12 textured CS, Walk in the Park DSP, Basic Grey and Whisper White
  • Ink– Basic Grey
  • Accessories– Designer Brads, White Gel Pen, Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Wide Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch

Now the next card I CASEd from Splitcoast Stampers from Jennifer. Thanks Jennifer. A very quick and simple but yet beautiful card.

IMG_7358_1

  • Stamp Set– Great Friend
  • Cardstock– Whisper White, So Saffron and Pink Pirouette
  • Ink– Pink Pirouette, Close to Cocoa and So Saffron
  • Accessories– Scallop Edge Punch, Crimper and Dimensionals.

When I get ready for workshops I pre fab everything to make it quick and easy for the crafters. With this particular card I made a boo boo. I cut the Crimped part the size of the card without taking into consideration the piece of CS will shrink when passed through the Crimper. My mind must have been somewhere else when I did this…maybe even another planet…I must admit I take regular trips and I am now currently looking to purchase a Season Pass….LOL! Sorry Girls!!

This next little creating genious is not mine. It is something I saw on the ever fabulous Marelle Taylors site. It is called the Sevens Box and Marelle has an easy step by step tutorial over there for you to follow. I made these as gifts for the crafters to munch on while creating……not the box but what was inside of course….LOL! Here they are-

IMG_7363_1

IMG_7361_1

IMG_7359_1

  • Stamp Set– Oval All, Soft Summer
  • Cardstock–  Tangerine Tango, Pink Pirouette and Very Vanilla
  • Ink– Versa Mark, White Staz-On and Tangerine Tango
  • Accessories– Small Celophane Bags, Pink Pirouette Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Curly Label Punch, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals and sweets or chocolates.

I used Malteasers inside my little bag. Something very easy and quick to make. Thanks Marelle!

I would also like to thank all my guests from last night. I had heaps of fun. You are all a blast to create with. It was fantatic catching up with all of you as well. I will be having a card night soon and I will let you know all the details with an email. Love to you all!

Well that is all I have to show today. Tomorrow I will upload the Scrapbook LO I did Thursday night at the Scrapbook Shop. Just to prove I still Scrap…LOL!
