Our new car!!

Hey everyone!

Yep that’s right we finally decided on a car! Most of you know that we have been contemplating for about a year now on what car would suit us best at a reasonable price. We are a family of six and require a car that would fit us all! We own a Holden Equipe and of course it doesn’t fit us all. We also own a Nissan Patrol which has served us well and fits us all but has now become unreliable.

When we first looked at new cars a year ago we were very keen on the Mazda cx9. What a dream to drive, but unfortunately starting price is around   $53 000…..not to mention fuel consumption was the highest out of all the cars we looked at. We let it go and decided to think about it. Of course life happened and we didn’t get back to looking, until we went to the Gatton Show late July.

To cut a long story short we ended up getting the Dodge Journey. I am so in love!!! LOL! Take a look

Isn’t she beautiful??! Oh and check out the licence plate LOL! After owning the car for only two days what should I get pulled over for! Talk about funny, I haven’t been pulled over for a RBT for over a year. Not sure if the Police man had a sense of humour though!! Oh well my insurance company had a good giggle when I gave them the details!

Another funny thing was the digits 214 were once my hubby’s racing numbers for drag racing at Willowbank Raceway! So really our number plate is personalised without having to fork out the cost!! LOL!

On another note, after yesterday’s post about my new craft trolley you all wanted to know where I got it from……well it was from good old Officeworks. Not sure if all stores carry it but I got this one from Toowoomba. This will definitely not fit in my car…..unfortunately it’s too high, but empty and on its side I think it will. But that’s no good…. I NEED it full! LOL!

My New Craft Trolley!!

Hey everyone!

I have a little sneak peek for you all from the new catty and then some pics of my new Craft Trolley. I lurve my new trolley. It is so accessible and makes me want to craft more! WOOHOO!!! So exciting!

There is a card in the new catalogue that inspired this one. So very pretty! This is using one of the stamp sets that will be released September 1st and I am totally in love with it…..the stamp set that is! LOL! I also used the Vintage Wallpaper textured Impression Folder! Another one of my faves.

But now here are some pics of my new trolley!!

Some suspension files for all my cardstock! All named and ready to go. This is what I look at when I turn right in my chair.

Heaps of room for all my punches

and of course my BigShot and some other bits and pieces. It has not been refined as yet! I am sure I will chop and change things as I go to suit my needs most. I love it…love it…love it!! It sounds lazy but I just hated having to get up and dig things out of my tidy drawers to play. So maybe this will mean that I will be crafting more!! I am so excited about that! Are you?

Inkspiration Challenge#37

Hey everyone!

I’m so excited at the moment! I have improved my creative workspace in many ways and it all started when my printer crapped itself. I was so annoyed, because I had so much printing off to do. So on Monday I went to officeworks to get myself a new one.  Big mistake!……..well for the bank account anyway! I will take some photos of my get up and post them tomorrow for you all!

But anyway onto this weeks challenge! It is a sketch, but as it is the last friday of the month that means one of the DT is hosting and it is Chantelle’s turn. Chantelle has also added her own twist to the challenge and it is to ADD POLKA DOTS !!!

So what do you think? I think I like it! I had a play with my new hostess set Apple Blossom. I love the little elements in this set. Lots of fun!

  • Stamp Set– Apple Blossoms
  • Cardstock– Naturals Ivory, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi
  • Ink– Rose Red, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi
  • Accessories– So Saffron button, Linen Thread, Polka Dot Textured Impressions, Dimensionals,

The strip of Wild Wasabi CS has had the fibres pulled apart to give the suede effect and then I just screwed it up to distress it and then when I stuck it down I bunched it up to give the ruffled look! I like the effect and might do it some more.

Notebooks Galore!

Hey everyone!

I just have to show you these cute little notebooks I have been working on. It started out as a workshop and after the workshop I decided to make more for the fundraiser. We did the Baja Breeze one for the workshop and I made the Black ones yesterday. I think I love the black ones the most. What about you?

Bit cute hey?? Think I might make some more tonight!

I was in Officeworks on Monday to have my new catty binded and while waiting I came across a ten pack of A5 sized notepads. I new I would use them in some form so I bought them. I now realise I should have got more while I was there. LOL! Oh well when hubby is up there next for work I will send him in…….on second thoughts I think I will go as there were a few other things I wouldn’t have minded getting. Like a new freestanding filing system for my cardstock….. hehehehe!!

Inkspiration Challenge #36

Hey everyone!

My week has gone by so quickly that at around 1pm this arvy I was thinking that there was something I had to do…….now what was that?? I then had a phone call from my friend and new downline Manola. After a quick chat and a reminder from Manola that today is Friday I came to realise what it was that I had to do……The Inkspiration Challenge. I just plum forgot, but with the fundraiser coming up very soon and all the things I have yet to do my mind is of course elsewhere. It was good however to have my mind on something else other than catering, seating, gifts and all other things associated with a crafting fundraiser. I even played with some new stamps just to give you another sneak peek at what is coming our way! Just so cute!

Here is the colours you have to play with this week

A very simple but pretty Christmas card in non traditional colours. I always like doing them this way. What do you think?

  • Stamp Set– Contempo Christmas
  • Cardstock– Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip
  • Ink– Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink
  • Accessories– Mat Pack, Bone Folder, Dimensionals, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch

Some More Goodies to Show!

Well I thought since I have been a little inactive on this here blog that I would show you all some more of the goodies I have been creating. Since my RACQ CareFlight Fundraiser is being held on the 4th of September I am having my first preview of the new catalogue goodies as well. Here are some cute little tags I made with some new stamps

I even made some more of the other designs I have going in some delicious colour combos. My daughter Jemma chose the torn flower combo. Just beautiful isn’t it? It is Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal and Very Vanilla. She is very clever. Now I am just calculating in my head how many years til I can sign her on………LOL! I am just so glad we can share our passion. We have lots of laughs and she has been using the Big Shot to cut out all the toppers for me. I am teaching her well!

I have also been gussying up the gifts that are being raffled with Ribbon and hand-made gift tags. I am taking the bigger gifts to the florist to see if she can wrap them up in cellophane for me. My sheets are too small and I don’t want hideous sticky tape showing. LOL!

There are heaps more but I didn’t have the time to get them all out for the photo. I am a girl continuously on the run these days. I am sure it will all slow down again next month some time…..maybe! LOL!

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #35

Hey everyone!

I was in a very vinatgey mood this afternoon. I was also feeling very purple! So I have something to show you that combined the two. To top it all off I have a sneak peek from the new catalogue on the card also. I’m in love people! It will probably be something you will see a lot of in the coming months. I hope to get some creating done this weekend with my preorder from SU. I am very excited!

Check out the sketch for this week

What do you think?? I really like it. It felt great to do something a little differ…..well a teeny bit different to my usual style anyway. A bit of distressing and spritzing is lots of fun because there is no exactness (is that a word?) to it.

  • Stamp Set– A Rose is a Rose
  • Cardstock– Rich Razzleberry, River Rock, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla
  • Ink– Rich Razzleberry, River Rock, Pink Pirouette
  • Accessories– Clear Rhinestones, Cutter Kit, Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions, Circle Scissors Plus

Helping Hudson!

Hey everyone!

I would like to tell you all about a fabulous cause for a gorgeous little boy named Hudson!

Hudson is the son of fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Tina Gillespie and her husband Robert. He is 2 1/2 and has had a very rough start to life, to say the least. To improve his quality of life the Gillespie’s would dearly love a wheelchair/walker aptly named a Kid Walker.

To help raise the much-needed funds for the Walker, which amounts to $5000, an amazing group of the most talented SU demos have put together a heap of tutorials on varying themes and the Helping Hudson team has put them together in bundles. There are six bundles all up with ten project tutorials in each for only $10 each. That works out to be $1 per tutorial. You cannot beat that for value. But that’s not all…..if you buy four bundles or more all at once you will also receive a Bonus Bundle. Isn’t that fabulous?! I was hoping to donate a project myself but unfortunately time got the better of me but I can assure you that I will be purchasing those six bundles to support this fabulous cause.

For a small donation you can also enter the challenges over the next three weeks and the prize giveaways consist of SU product to the value of around $60 will be rewarded in each of the 9 challenges (but this is for Australian residents only). Check out the BLOG to find out all the details.
