Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #55

Hey everyone!

I enjoyed making the card for this weeks sketch challenge! I challenged myself even further by using a colour I have never used. Can anyone guess which one that is??……It is Concord Crush. Not sure if I have told you guys but as much as I love purple I have trouble using it on cards. Bit twisted eh?! If I do use it, it’s usually Perfect Plum and is a miniscule amount and barely noticeable. This time it’s all purple….well nearly! LOL!

What do you think? After completion I thought it would have been nice to sponge each individual Perfect Plum square, but I don’t mind it! It was certainly a card of ‘firsts’. Not only was Concord Crush a first but I used my butterfly die for the first time too. Gee I’m slack!!! LOL!!

So go check out the challenge at Inkspirations Challenge Blog and have a play along and of course check out all the other beautiful cards made by the DT for inspiration!

Inkspiratons Sketch Challenge #33

Hey everyone!

It’s Friday and that means Inkspiration time. I love it as it is taking me away from the fundraising organising. There is so much to do but I love to take a break every now again! LOL! Okay this week it is of course the Sketch challenge and when I first saw it I thought ‘Bugger, I don’t have the oval Big Shot Die’. But I had a template from another project I made quite a while ago and I used that! Tricky hey??

Here’s the sketch

and my creation

I love garden scenes on oval shapes. Not sure why…..just do! LOL! As you can see I pulled out my old favourite …Pocket Silhouettes and of course another set that goes so well with it, Flight of the Butterfly! Upsy Daisy is also in the mix. I LURVE these sets. They have been well used and of course still stamp beautifully!

  • Stamp Set– Flight of the Butterfly, Upsy Daisy, Pocket Silhouettes
  • Cardstock– Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, Sweet Always DSP
  • Ink- Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Pretty in Pink, Staz-On White
  • Accessories– Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Clear Rhinestone, Butterfly Punch, Trio Flower punch, Linen Thread, Pink Pirouette Button, Dimensionals. Sponges

Check out the rest of the DT- I am sure you will do some oohhing and ahhing over them. I always do!

An Upsy Daisy CASE!

Hey everyone!

I was on Stampin’ Connection the other day {this is a brand new fabulous place for Stampin’ Up! demos to discuss and share all things SU} and I came across a card made by Claire Daly. I am not sure if it is on her blog so I cannot directly link you to Claire’s creation. I used the same colours, stamp and style but with a couple of my own tweaks. I instantly feel in love with it and Claire’s style appeals to me in a lot of ways but really she is just a gorgeous person who makes the most beautiful cards. I wonder what else I can CASE! I have a few saved to my faveourites…even ones made with stamp sets I don’t own……yet!! LOL! Thanks Claire!

I used the spritzer with the old olive marker on coordinating CS and the Regal Rose marker over the top of the daisies. I really like the effect. I also used the markers to colour in the stamp so I could have more than one colour in the image.

I used one of the labels out of the 4set label dies and embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder. I have a thing for embossing powder recently so much so that I might need to top up again soon! Same with Cardstock I am depleting my stocks at an alarming rate…..but I have an awesome advantage of being able to purchase my goodies at a generous 20% off . Would you like the same deal?!

  • Imagine being able to purchase beautiful SU product at demonstrator cost
  • Imagine earning $ to help pay for your hobby, bills or even that holiday you wanted
  • Imagine being able to meet and become great friends with like minded crafters at events such as Convention or Regionals.
  • Imagine running a business on your own terms, doing as much or as little as you like when you like to fit in your schedule as a part-time worker or mother or both.

The timing couldn’t be better either because at the moment Stampin’ Up! are having a fabulous starter kit promotion. Valued at over $560, and sold at the usual price of $324 is now reduced to $259. That’s a whopping 20%off and it is all you need to pay to become a part of the Stampin’ Up! family and to receive the awesome starter kit. You will also become part of my team where we have regular team get togethers and stamping sessions. I can help you with anything you might need or any advice to get you started.

You can contact me today via email or you can join straight away by going to my Stampin’ Up! business website. All you will need is

  • An ABN {free from the tax office}
  • Credit Card details
  • Personal Information
  • my password – brownstamp

I look forward to you becoming a part of the Stampin’ Up! family!

Workshop Antics!

Hey everyone!

I held a workshop last Thursday night and I took photos!!! Can you believe it?! I have proof that people actually do attend my workshops. I just cannot believe I have not taken photos until now! Some of my objects were a little apprehensive about having their photo taken and sometimes hid behind pieces of cardstock or other people (waving at you Laura H) LOL!

So here is a pic of the girls and the project they liked making the most on the night.

I suppose you would like some close-ups of those fabulous projects!! LOL!

Here you go

As you can see the workshop was based around the Top Note die. The girls had heaps of fun and I think I have them all head over heals in love with Naturals Ivory! Hehe! I wonder how many of you I have drooling over this awesome CS??!

Well I have heaps of projects to get organised so I best be off to get them done!

Hey everyone!

It’s time for Keesh’s Inkspiration Colour Challenge and we are up to number 20! I am feeling heaps better with my stamping of late……I feel as if mojo may have made a comeback. But, there is one colour in particular in this challenge that I don’t play with a lot or if at all! Can you guess which one that is?

Well…….can ya?!! Is this an awesome boy colour combo or what??! As you can probably guess by the sneak peek above I didn’t go that way….hehe! So I suppose you want to see the WHOLE card!!  Be warned I am in love with this card! You know…one of my new favourites….love! Take a gander-

As you can see I even stamped the inside of the card. Awwwww!! don’t those colours just look fabulous? I am so lovin’ the sponging too! I might make more of these in different colours. This card here is for my very special friend and downline Tina. I think she will love it!

  • Cardstock– Very Vanilla, Brocade Blue, Creamy Caramel and Chocolate Chip
  • Ink– Versa Mark, Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel
