IMG_7322_1

IMG_7323_1

I adore the first one but not entirely happy with the second one. There is just something missing or something not done right. But I wanted to show you anyway just to prove not all my cards work out the way they should or the way I want them….LOL! If you would like some more info on the new catty be sure to let me know and I can have posted out to you in time for August 1st.

Thanks for dropping by!

I’m in LUUURRVE!

IMG_7308_1

Hey everyone! As you can tell by my title I’m in love……….BUT not with another man…..they are just tooooo much trouble. I’m in love with Chocolate, but NO that’s not it, this is a NEW love! What I am in love with is this ultra cute and gorgeous, and I have finally done one, Carousel Notes Album! Have you seen one?? If not Sharlene Meyer has one on her blog and the tutorial to making one of these puppies can be found on Janine Tinklenberg’s blog.

Remember the photos you saw a couple of days ago of my charming daughter! Well I used them! Have a little Bo peep-

Some of the photos are a little crappy but I was in a hurry! I was quickly running out of daylight. So please ignore! I promise to better next time!

So what do you think? Do you think you could fall in love with one of these Carousel Notes Album? The Rose set again seemed perfect for this project. Are you over seeing this stamp set from me yet? You would be very surprised at how many stamp sets I own. I should use the other ones more I think…lol! Just to prove I own them!

Well again thanks for dropping by!

Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge #10

Hey everyone! It’s Friday again and it is time for another Inkspiration Challenge. Don’t you just love them??! Well, for me this particular challenge was a little difficult, I don’t do a lot of male orientated cards (I always put them in the tooooo hard basket) but this pic was telling me a male card was called for. Just check this bedspread out-

Makeesha

When I first saw this challenge I was like “Oh no!!  But I stuck myself down in the craft chair (in other words the dining chair), and I didn’t get off until I had something I thought passed the challenge. Have a looksie-

IMG_7304_1

What do you think? I still think I struggled to pull it off, but I’m sure my Dad would like this one. You will have to ignore my crooked sentiment, it looked straight the first time…lol!

There is a lot of distressing going on with this card. I even pulled out the sanding block!

  • Stamp Set– Sanded BG, Circle Circus and Sweet little Sentiments
  • Cardstock– Basic Grey, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip Basic Black and Kraft
  • Ink– Versa Mark, Staz-on and Chocolate Chip
  • Accessories– Mat Pack, Chocolate Chip Marker, Sanding Block, Bone Folder, Eyelet Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 11/4 Circle Punch, 13/8 Circle Punch, Cutter Kit, Basic Grey Corduroy Button, Linen Thread and Chocolate Chip Ribbon.

Check out all the other members of the DT,

I suspect they will be ‘Oh so inspiring!’ They always are!

Thanks for dropping by!

Sunshine fun!

Hey everyone! I’m not too sure what it is but……I cannot get enough of OTP or Gift sets at the moment. I have not made a card for the sole purpose of making a card in about a week! I have made cards for the Stationery sets but that’s all!

My OTP extraveganza became even more infatuating when I found this little website run by Janine Tinklenberg! This particular little box is found under category Templates and Showing Off. Yep! that’s right you can download the template for this box straight off her site! This lady is such a card! Straight to the point and absolutely adores Chocolate! There is even pics of the chockies sitting amongst her tools in the tutorials! Too funny!

Anyway on to the box-

IMG_7297_1

Isn’t it cute? Janine did make this box for Pocket Notes, but I made it for a cute little gift box to put hostess goodies into! It is very quick and easy to make.

I also have some gorgeous shots of my, ‘just turned 8’, darling Jemma to show. I took her outside yesterday evening to take some updated pics of her and also use them in another little project I will be showing you soon! I just cannot believe how much older she looks compared to the last ones I put up!

Enough chit chat onto the photos-

IMG_7250_1

IMG_7275_1

And of course it wouldn’t be my Jemma without some Funny Faces!! A little bit disturbing this one!! LOL!

IMG_7279_1

Oh dear! Gotta love her! It’s my job!

Thanks for dropping by!

Just couldn’t help myself!!

Hey everyone! I loved the first stationery box so much I decided to make another one…but this one is a little bit of a sneak peak into the upcoming Spring Mini which is available from August 1st. There are so many cute stamp sets and goodies inside! I love it all!!

So onto the creation…well sneak peak-

IMG_7249_1

What do you think so far?? Don’t you just love that butterfly?! On to the box-

IMG_7238_1

These colours are just gorgeous together. The paper used is in the upcoming mini and it is called Parisian Breeze and it is a Speciality Paper just like the Sweet Slumber selection in the Main Catty. It has a beautiful texture!

Here are some more details-

IMG_7243_1

IMG_7241_1

As you can see this time all four cards are the same! Saved a lot of time I assure you! Here are some close ups-

IMG_7244_1

IMG_7245_1

I will say this I don’t think I will be cutting out that leaf stamp again very soon! I will be very surprised if I do anyway…Veeerrry fiddly. LOL! Everything used except the Ribbon, Card stock and Alphabet stamps are from the new Catalogue…oh yes and the Large Oval and Eyelet Edge Punch. But check out the Scallop Oval Punch! Very cute and the large oval fits inside perfectly!

Not too sure who I am going to give this set to yet! I haven’t made up my mind! I hope they will love it whoever I choose!

Thanks for dropping by!

Everyone loves Stationery!!

Hey everyone! I just have to show you all this Stationery Box I whipped up. But all attributions go to Alisa Tilsner  for my making of this box! She gave me the instructions to this beauty of a Stationery Box. Mine is only a touch different to Alisa’s version. But the same base idea! So check it out….you won’t be disappointed!

So what do you think? I just had to use the Bella’s Rose DSP and A Rose is a Rose set for this one, it matches so beautifully!

As you can see I have made 4 each of matching cards and love notes for the compendium. I had an absolute ball making this and I gave it as a hostess gift to lovely lady today and boy did she love it! {hi Treena} I had great fun ladies…I also had plenty of giggles…..thanks to Beatrice and her lumpy box LOL! I look forward to another day!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #10

Hey everyone! I hope you guys are ready for another awesome colour challenge! This one is a beauty. When I first started buying SU ink and products these were the colours I first went for. Just check them out-

Makeesha_Colour_Challenge_10

I don’t know what it is but they are just divine. I was busy all day yesterday getting ready for a workshop and nearly forgot about the challenge….Whoopsie! So first thing this morning I whipped this one up as quick as I can as I was hoping to go to Brisvegas today to catch up with Keesh! Keesh is stopping over for a couple of days with hubby…but unfortunately she has woken up not feeling too well. Oh well! maybe next time. I hope you are feeling much better soon Keesh!

My hubby and I might do something instead! If he decides to get out of bed!!! LOL! Anyway on to my submission for this week-

IMG_7131_1

Some of you might recognise this design from a card kit I made last year! Nothing like pulling out an oldie to revive a little! These colours are very feminine to me, so I went with that and I like it. What do you think?

  • Stamp set– A Rose is a Rose
  • Cardstock– Very Vanilla, Rose Red, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke
  • Inks– Rose Red, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke.
  • Accessories– Scallop Edge Punch, Eyelet Edge Punch, Crimper, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, SAMJ and Mat Pack.

I have done a lot of second generation and even third generation stamping. I think it gives it such a wonderful depth and layer of colour.

Well don’t forget to check out the rest of the design team, they always have something to blow your mind!

Colour Throwdown #50

Hey everyone! Can you believe the Colour Throwdown team are already up to number 50??! Wowsers time goes so fast…I remember when they first started and I even participated in a few. Well I was on the hunt for a challenge and I thought why not go for a colour challenge. Here is the current Colour Throwdown-

CTD50

There is no teasing sneak peak today…LOL!

IMG_7126_1

It is very plain and simple but with such strong colours I wanted it that way. And once again Baroque Motifs is my lifesaving back up/coordinating set. To vary the colours a little I used the second generation technique.

Can you believe I still feel like creating? So I better get to it!

Thanks for dropping by!

Yummy Jewelry

Hey everyone! AH HA! You never thought I would be posting again today did you?? LOL! But I do concede! There must be something wrong with me! {checking forehead for any signs of heat} Posting twice in one day??!! As you guys can see I’m lucky to do it once a week. But I was doing a little blog surfing this morning and came across Stacey Schafer’s blog and her Jewelry Colour Inspiration. I have seen these before but have never participated. I know, I know I’m slack! So here it is Jewelry Colour Inspiration #44-

Sedona_display

Project44

I love the rustic and warm feel these colours omit! Do you feel it? Ooohhh I just love a challenge! Here is my submission-

IMG_7125_1

I hope it tickles your fancy…..I like this one a lot…..probably because I have used colours I don’t use a lot of, excluding the vanilla of course!

Well I’m still feeling creative so I might head back to my desk and see what I can come up with.
