This Day Forward!

Hello everyone!

I have been meaning to get this post up for a while now, and I’m so glad I found time today to do it. I had a workshop a couple of weeks ago with the special request of creating a wedding card. The only set I have in my many, many stamp sets suitable for a wedding card is This Day Forward. I loved this set from first laying eyes on it.148cc330c998dedb93ea3909069d9b76

As usual though the set had not yet seen ink! LOL……..until now that is. There was a beautiful box sample in the catalogue using this set and I decided to turn the same creation into a card. This is what I came up with.

This Day Forward Card

A very simple but elegant design. I loved it.

I couldn’t stop there though, I decided this card needed a companion. I pulled out the Tag a Bag Gift Boxes and went from there.

I was on Pinterest and found this lovely design by Stampin’ Club. It is simply gorgeous and thought it complimented the card well.

We also created one more card, a very easy card. I love those. I CASE’ed this card from somewhere. I thought it was Pinterest, but it wasn’t on my board, so now I’m not so sure. If you know who created this card please let me know so I can link them. Thanks! The original had a bigger butterfly stamp on it. That stamp was from the Best of 25yrs stamp promotion and the set was called the Best of Butterflies.

EDIT TO ADD- The original has been found, thank you very much Corinna Buchan. Melissa Davies from RubberFUNatics is the original design I CASE’d. Go check it out.

With Love

So as you can see we had lots of fun and I cannot wait to share the next workshop with you.

Thanks for dropping by!

Festive Friday Challenge #12

Hello everyone!

Well I have some exciting news! I have joined a Design Team. Are you shocked? LOL! I’m pretty excited to get back on track with regular blogging and being a part of a design team really helps with that. I have joined the DT on Festive Friday Challenges which is hosted by the lovely Nicole Derendorf. The idea behind Festive Friday Challenge is to do Christmas cards all year unless a different season comes about like Easter or Mother’s Day. So just when I joined the next challenge was about Easter. Just lately I have seen the cutest little Easter project ideas and I saw a little sunnyboy container or sour cream container if you live in America that resembled a carrot. I just had to have a play

Aren’t they the cutest?!

I decided I didn’t want people to have to tear them apart to get into them and decided to use a scallop circle over the top to close it. Here are some close-ups

One half was attached securely with sticky strip on one side and then for the back I added a velcro dot.

So simple and easy. I added cute little mini Lindt bunny and carrot inside. For this year they were my children’s Teacher’s gifts. They loved them.

Anyway be sure to jump on in and have a play with the Festive Friday Challenges and you could be in the running for a random prize! Woohoo!

Anyway thanks for dropping by!

Cute Little Box!

Hello everyone!

I have a super cool little project to share with you all. While at retreat Kirri {one of our fellow demos}, showed us a cute little box and shared the template and instructions with us all. Isn’t she the sweetest! Here’s my version –

and open

I used the super cute Sale-A-Bration DSP Everyday Enchantment. Thank you Michelle, you were super kind to give me some. I am thinking an Easter project for this box would look fabulous. What do you think?

I still have a few more creations to share so come back soon

An Inkspiration Christmas!

Hey everyone!

This week for Inkspiration we are doing a Christmas showcase. The ones I am showing are projects I taught in my very last workshop for the year. I had a great time and the girls enjoyed themselves too! I got the ideas for these little beauties in several different places. Delys Cram for the Jelly Bean Elf, Julia Leece for the cute santa owl and I have seen heaps of different candy cane mice, but not sure whose first I saw. Thank you ladies for the wonderful inspiration.

Aren’t they just the cutest?! I am going to make more Elf legs for the kids at Christmas and hang them in the Christmas tree, but I will be putting red and green M&M’s in those. Maybe even some of those mice! LOL!

Don’t forget to go to the Inkspiration Challenge Blog to check out the rest of the DT creations and link us to your Christmas creation!

Framed Flowers

Hey everyone!

There are so many cute samples in this years catalogue that I want to CASE. Here is one

So very quick, simple and cheap plus a great pre-teen girls room decor piece. I know because my 10 yo daughter keeps asking for it! LOL!

This was made with a variety of punches and scraps of CS. After assembling all the flowers I gave it a light spray of the Vanilla Smooch Spritz. LURVE this stuff and I think I need to order another bottle or two.

Easter Blossom Silk!

Hey everyone!

I have workshops this week and I decided I would teach my class the Faux Silk technique and combine it with an Easter theme. I’m not an Easter card maker and sender, but I do love creating gift boxes for the chocolatey goodness. This time though I made a matching card for the box.

The box design is very similar to the one on page 8 of the Summer mini catalogue but with a few of my own touches added to it.

The card and some closeups of the box’s finer details

Oohh I am liking these closeups!! I might have to do that more often! LOL! The brown paper is the packing from SU deliveries. I just passed it through a shredder. The eggs are Cadbury Mini Eggs and resemble Smarties, M&M’s and the like, they are crisp shell with chocolate inside…..MMMmmmmm…YUMMY!!! I made this project with these eggs in mind. I bought them last year and just loved them. I made this project before I bought them and was hoping that they would make a comeback this year so I could use them specifically for this project. I used colours Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride and Perfect Plum.

Well I best get packing for my workshop!

Tea Box!

Hey everyone!

I am currently getting busy creating for an upcoming Craft show. It’s the Christmas in the Country Craft Fair that is held annually and is the biggest fundraiser my children’s school. It is a fabulous event and if you live close by come check it out on the 5th and 6th of November.

This is a super cute box and measures 4″ high and 3 1/2″ wide. I played with some brand new goodies too! Fleurettes 2 and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. I made up a solution of water and Riding Hood Red Ink in a container and soaked the crocheted flower in it. I waited 24 hrs to let it dry and adhered to the box with Tombo Mono Multi Glue. I am just realising how good this glue is after I have just run out of Sticky Strip! LOL!

I am also working on a different coloured one with a tea bag slot in the front. I will show you when I get it finished!

I just have to show you all some photos I took of Darcy yesterday. We are experiencing a lot of rain at the moment and our driveway has become a slushy mud pie…….and my son loves it!! Every day he has gone out there and played in the mud on his bike and this is just a taste of what he looks like when he charges back inside……

EEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! I cannot stand MUD!! The funny thing was when he got off his bike he was walling around stiff-legged, LOL! All that water and dirt must have been mighty uncomfortable!

Notebooks Galore!

Hey everyone!

I just have to show you these cute little notebooks I have been working on. It started out as a workshop and after the workshop I decided to make more for the fundraiser. We did the Baja Breeze one for the workshop and I made the Black ones yesterday. I think I love the black ones the most. What about you?

Bit cute hey?? Think I might make some more tonight!

I was in Officeworks on Monday to have my new catty binded and while waiting I came across a ten pack of A5 sized notepads. I new I would use them in some form so I bought them. I now realise I should have got more while I was there. LOL! Oh well when hubby is up there next for work I will send him in…….on second thoughts I think I will go as there were a few other things I wouldn’t have minded getting. Like a new freestanding filing system for my cardstock….. hehehehe!!

Awesome UStamp Projects!

Hey everyone!

I thought I would pop in here today and show you all this gorgeous little Picnic Basket that Danielle Daws designed for the ‘Hey Big Shot’ session over at UStamp. This was my recreation.

I plan on placing sample jars of exotic jams inside and give them to the grandparents. Isn’t it just gorgeous?! Danielle has done a fabulous job don’t you think?! I cannot wait to create more of these!

If you would like to create cool projects like this one and heaps more, then head over to Dawn’s blog  to join UStamp.

Workshop Antics!

Hey everyone!

I held a workshop last Thursday night and I took photos!!! Can you believe it?! I have proof that people actually do attend my workshops. I just cannot believe I have not taken photos until now! Some of my objects were a little apprehensive about having their photo taken and sometimes hid behind pieces of cardstock or other people (waving at you Laura H) LOL!

So here is a pic of the girls and the project they liked making the most on the night.

I suppose you would like some close-ups of those fabulous projects!! LOL!

Here you go

As you can see the workshop was based around the Top Note die. The girls had heaps of fun and I think I have them all head over heals in love with Naturals Ivory! Hehe! I wonder how many of you I have drooling over this awesome CS??!

Well I have heaps of projects to get organised so I best be off to get them done!

Thanks for dropping by
