Birthday Bash!

Hello everyone,

For quite a while now I have seen many people create screen cards. I thought I would create one and use it my Cards with a Difference workshop. It was a very popular addition and I may create some more at a later date.

Celebrate Today

I used a few different stamp sets to create the final result but the main set used was Celebrate Today which is in the current Occasions Catalogue.

I used the paper from the Birthday Bash SDSP, also from the same catalogue. I love this paper. Its one of those ones you would like to hoard and never use. I have quite a few of those. I really do have to change my ways and start using them, otherwise they will never see the light of day and be used in some very special projects.

I used a 12″x6″ piece of Whisper White CS. I scored it at 3″, 6″, & 9″. Super easy but very effective. What do you think?

Birthday Time!

Hello everyone!

Today is my eldest daughters birthday. My beautiful, gorgeous, kind, and hip daughter, Jemma! Who loves to get kisses by her youngest brother, Darcy

Lat year her favourite colour was purple, well this year it is black and pink. So her card and presents are decorated so.

The ‘in’ thing lately seems to be hexagons, so I thought I would have a play with them on this card. I don’t have any sort of hexagon punch or die so I knew I had to create these from scratch when I realised our Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals were the perfect size and shape.

The splotches is just Whisper White ink refill being splattered over the left hand side of the card and I really like how that has turned out. I may have smudged a couple of drops but I was in such a hurry to finish as I have a few things to do today, being a birthday in the house and all.

For the Love of Framelits!!

Hello everyone!

What a weekend I have had….actually make that a week! My youngest has come down with a middle ear infection, poor little thing, he was crying so hard and was inconsolable. I HATE that. You feel so useless and you cannot take their pain away. We are just super lucky our Doctor opens at 8am on a Sunday and we can come in without appointment. We got in straight away without waiting and it was our Doctor that was rostered on that weekend too. Extra bonus!! I love our Doctor! It is so hard to find a good one, especially one so good with kids…….Gee I can go on can’t I?!

Anyway, I have this super cute card to share. I made this a little while ago, I actually made a few of them I liked it so much. My new love is the Framelits Dies and matching Stamp Set Apothecary Art. I just wish I had more time to play! LOL!

I used colours Blushing Bride, Regal Rose and Crumb Cake to colour in the Image using a Aqua Painter. I used Water Colour paper for the image and Very Vanilla for the base and textured section. I also used some of the lusciousness that is Blushing Bride Pleated Stain Ribbon. Love these ribbons.

Bright Birthday Blossom!

Hello everyone!

I’m back again! I have cheated however. I made this card last week with the Spiced Paisley ‘Hello’ card. But I think it better I share them individually rather than all at once. Otherwise there would be no eye candy for a whole week. LOL!

On that day I decided to play with some stamp sets that I haven’t really played with a lot since getting them. Build a Blossom was one of them.

As you can see I also used the Spiced Paisley Stamp Set. Hahaha! Seem to be a new favourite of mine. I didn’t see that coming! I used the strip of circles stamp out of the Spiced Paisley Stamp Set to create the BG on the Very Vanilla and the biggest paisley for the Perfect Plum base. The other two colours used are Lucky Limeade and Red Riding Hood. A rather cute combo I think.

Birthday Treats!!

It was my sweet girl, Akayla’s Birthday on the second of December, and she loves everything pretty, and so do I. That’s why I have lots of fun making her card and wrapping her goodies. A very pink and green girl to! Loves a princess or two also! LOL!

Oohhh I love those colours. I used Regal Rose, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla, with a little Early Espresso. Oh and the bow is Pretty in Pink 5/8″ Satin Ribbon.

The stamp sets used are Array of Sunshine and Happiest Birthday Wishes. Both sets are found in the hostess section of the Stampin’ Up! catalogue. They are both gorgeous sets and worth having.

Here are some pics of the nights festivities

So that’s another year done. I wish it would slow down, my babies are growing up too quickly. My youngest starts Prep next year and I am just not looking forward to being by myself with no one to entertain. I suppose after a couple of weeks of twiddling my thumbs I will find heaps to do……maybe even card making!! LOL!

Inkspiration Challenge #91

Hey everyone!

It’s Inkspiration time! The sketch is pretty simple but suitable for any occasion.

My submission

I thought I would keep it simple and subtle and to have a play with a new stamp that I have had here for a month….Precious Butterflies.

I pulled out my fave circle tool, Circle Scissor Plus to make the two bigger circles and my 3/4″ and 1″ circle punches for the smaller circles. I used colours Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz. A very lovely combo!

Dont forget to check out the Inkspirations Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT’s creations and to submit your design as well.

Inkspiration Challenge #90

Hey everyone!

It is Inkspiration time and it is a colour challenge, and a really pretty one at that. I should have resorted to doing flowers because that is what I do with pretty colours, but I wanted to challenge myself to do something different. I will say I did have some trouble…..lol!

This is what I came up with (minus the couple attempts sitting in the bin…LOL!)

I pulled out the Up, Up & Away stamp set for its first play. I would love to play with it some more but I will have to wait.

The annual Christmas in the Country Craft Show is in less than a month and I have lots to create. I best get started….lol!

Check out the Inkspiration Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT’s creations and link us to your submission so we can oohh and aahh over them.

Inkspirations Challenge #88

Hey everyone!

It’s Inkspiration time, and this time it is a colour challenge. I love the colour challenges. Check out this weeks colours

Pretty bright huh?! My first thought was “WHOOAAA!! What am I going to do with that??” lol!

Here is my sample-

I had a little play with the chair stamp in the Little Additions SS and used some other stamps to give the chairs a patterned appearance. I love how they turned out. I used the Kindness Matters SS and stamped the half-doily along the top to jazz up an otherwise boring card…lol!

Well, now you need to head on over to the Inkspirations Blog to check out the rest of the DT and to submit your creation.

The Owl and the Pinwheel!

Hey everyone!

Gee I hope I pick up my game with the blogging soon. I have been creating some pretty cute and cool stuff with the owl punch. Gee what took me so long to play with this awesome, quite versatile tool?! I know what you’re thinking……she said versatile!! what is wrong with her? Can’t she see that it just punches out owls????! Stupid woman!

Well I will have to show you what I have been creating with it tomorrow!

But first I will show you a project we had this week at my workshops.

Isn’t she just the cutest??? It’s probably why I haven’t stopped playing with the punch, lol! I’m likin’ the pinwheels at the moment too. I’m not quite sure what made me put them togetether…LOL! But the owl looks cute holding the pinwheel!

Oh well best be off to make more things with this owl punch!
