Inkspirations Challenge #63

Hey everyone!

It’s Inkspiration time, and this time it is a sketch. I had a lot of fun with this one. Maybe it’s because I got to ink up some new rubbah! LOL! Tonight people, I am giving you a sneak peek at a stamp set that will be soon released on April 1st in the new Autumn\Winter Mini. I absolutely adore this SS and the coordinating DSP. I haven’t used the DSP on this card but I am sure in no time I will have it all consumed and I will be buying some more.

I haven’t played with the cracked glass technique in a while so I thought I would with this challenge as there is a panel on the sketch that is perfect for this technique. I love, love, LOVE this technique. Take a look at the sketch-

The colours were selected from the Colour Coach. Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler and Baja Breeze. I added the Dynamic Duo, Basic Grey as well. There is also a teeny bit of Perfect Plum as I needed a fifth colour. Can you spot it? LOL!

A little close up of the cracked glass panel. After cracking the panel I like to rub some ink over it. It gets caught in the cracks and gives them more emphasis. Now my panel does look a little yellow but that is because I sponged Crumb Cake ink over the panel before clear embossing. It looks a little like I have burnt the embossing, doesn’t it?! Oh well you live and learn! LOL! The three panels behind were stamped randomly  then spritzed with Basic Black. I love this tool. I find I am using it a lot lately.

Well I hope I have inspired you to create and have a play with this weeks Inkspiration challenge and I hope to see your submission soon.

150 Subscribers!!

Hey everyone!

Do you remember this POST? The one where I offered my 150th subscriber a card? You all know how slack I am too right??!! LOL! This lovely lady who subscribed to my blog and became the 150th person to do so, subscribed over two weeks ago! I am now close to 160 subscribers on this here blog and I am just blown away by the support, love and wonderful comments I have received from you all! You are all special to me….Thank you!

Now the subscriber has been notified and her name is Paula and it looks like Paula is from New Zealand! Paula now has to choose one of the three cards below and I will send it to her asap!

A few different styles to choose from….I hope you like at least one of them Paula! LOL! I would have loved to let you choose whatever you wanted but a lot of these cards have been given away and unfortunately I don’t have the time to recreate at the moment. I will have to lat you all know about that later, I am so secretive! LOL!

This was so much fun I might even do it again real soon. I will probably randomly choose people in the subscribers list and then email them. What do you think? Should I do it??

I will let you know the result.

Mother’s Day is Coming!!!

Hey everyone!

Can you believe we are half-way through March already?! This year seems to be going much quicker than last. I’m not trying to make the year go faster by doing Mother’s Day projects, but next month I want to concentrate on the Autumn\Winter Mini Catalogue Launch. So here is some piccy’s of my upcoming workshop.

I love the combo of Rich Razzleberry, Tempting turquoise and Certainly Celery. From memory I did the Star Box in the same colours! So bright and vibrant. I have seen a few different versions of this box/purse. But I found this tutorial by Tami White on YouTube that shows a quick simple version. Super cute huh?!  It’s a very good size for Pandora/Chamilia packages or any type of jewellery. I’m not sure about you but when I have teeny tiny gifts they are hard to wrap or package nicely. I find making little packages like this are simply perfect.

If you are local to me and would like to create this project….email me and I will book you in OR if you would like to order the product to make your own at home email me and I will have the goodies delivered straight to your door!

Feeling a little Grungy!!

Hey everyone!

I had a fabulous day today! I created a couple of cards, I had awesome company {waving at Andrea} and I took some very cute photos of my son, Darcy and his cute little girlfriend Ava.

The card I am showing you today had been sitting on my desk for about a month……not the whole thing of course or I would have blogged it. Have you ever started a card and thought….Hmmmmm it needs something….but OMG!!! I don’t have it. So you buy it just to finish it? Well in this case I needed the Smooch Spritz in silver foil colour and I am so glad I waited. LOL!

I really like this one!! A LOT! There is a lot going on more than you probably realise. The base piece is Naturals Ivory. I clear embossed the diamond pattern stamp from the Grunge Rock set, scrunched up the CS, then smooch spritzed it then ‘tapped’ the real red ink pad over the top. Pretty nice huh?

I ruffled the Black ribbon and stapled it into place. I love this effect and think it suits the style well.

Okay…..now I have to show you a couple of these photos I took today. But first a little BG. We first met the Francis family when Darcy and Ava were a few months old. Ava’s sister, Sahmara, is best friends with my youngest girl Akayla and Ava’s Mum, Andrea, is my good friend and scrapping buddy.

We have always joked about Ava and Darcy being an item…….but not this early!! LOL!

They were super funny. Ava was playing with some lipstick and dolled herself up just a little bit. Darcy also wanted it on so Ava obliged. Ava did inform us though that Darcy’s lippy was a bit messy and hers was just perfect..LOL! We of course had to take some piccy’s…..and look what happened next……

We didn’t want that lipstick to go to waste now did we?! Oh how CUTE!!!

Well that’s all from me today…..I fell like making another card!

Inkspirations Challenge #61

Hey everyone!

It’s Inkspiration time ladies, We have a sketch for you this week and it is super easy and adaptable to just about any stamp set.

I might even have another play with it.

I kept this one real simple, LUV simple and I love this card.

Here’s my super cute monster

I’m sure you remember my little grumble about Wild Wasabi last week and how I barely play with it and I’m not sure what to do with it…..well I decided to play with it. Do you know how well it goes with Garden Green (another one of those colours I don’t play with) and Crumb Cake?! Which happens to be some of the colours in the Woodland Walk collection. These papers are just gorgeous. I wasn’t sure of them at first but I have fallen in love with them.

Don’t forget to play along over at the Inkspirations Challenge Blog and upload your creation for all to see!

Another Easter Workshop!

Hey everyone!

I couldn’t help it….I had to make some cute Easter goodies. My kids love these sort of designs. I do too!

Aren’t they adorable?! I of course took some closer shots for you all!

This one reminds me of one of my old Easter boxes I made last year. I put a 50g bunny and solid minis inside with some shredded paper. So very easy and just a teeny bit cute!

Of course I had to use the Mini Milk Carton too. It is simply adorable and reminds me of the Cadbury Cartons. Another very simple creation. I used the teeny bunny in the Nursery Suite SDSP to put on the box amongst the hand cut grass. A couple of the punched flowers from the Itty Bitty punch set and you have a cute little garden scene.

This one is just too cute! Can anyone have enough cuteness in their life? I got the idea for this creation from Theresa Anne Rafter She has some beautiful creations for Easter on her blog. Check them out!

Well that’s all I have to show you today!

Inkspirations Challenge #60

Hey everyone!

It’s time for another colour challenge and I have to say I struggled with this one. Wild Wasabi has always been a hard nut for me to crack. Not sure why…it’s a lovely green, I just cannot make it work well with other colours. Oh well…. you be the judge and let me know what you think.

I don’t know…..I think the main panel needs work ……or changing, or something LOL! It is definitely different to what I usually do, but that’s a good thing. It’s great to have a play with things. You won’t learn anything if you don’t. This time round I have learnt I need to practise sponging some more. LOL!

I would love to see what you create with these colour so make sure you pop on over to Inkspirations  Challenge blog and link your creation up.
