Hello My Friend!

Hello everyone!

The card you are about to see was the first card I made while away on retreat. It was also Madonna’s Colour Challenge for everyone for the retreat weekend.

I used a stamp set I don’t own. Simply Soft. It is a hostess set in the front of the Stampin’ Up! catalogue. I paired it with My Friend {one of my faves}. The challenge colours were. Chocolate Chip, River Rock, Sahara Sand, Basic Grey and Marina Mist. Madonna was all about rediscovering the Neutral collection to show your creations don’t have to be bright to look gorgeous. So we received lots of goodies in neutral colours, like a share of the Mocha Morning SDSP. Thanks Mads. I dyed my white twine with Marina Mist ink lightly and I love how it looks.

More Established Elegance…

Hello everyone!

I did tell you I couldn’t put the Established Elegance stamp set away, right?! LOL! This one though I think is a little prettier. This is also a sneak peek at something that is new in our upcoming Autumn/Winter Mini. Can you pick it?

I really love this card. It was also a challenge from Madonna, but this challenge was for everyone (we had three of these). This was a sketch challenge, and it was actually one of the Sweet Sunday Sketches from Karen Giron’s site and this was challenge #151.

You may have noticed I used some of my favourite paper, First Edition. Love that stuff. The “Hello” is from one of the Sale-A-Bration sets Elementary Elegance. I used some Victoria Crochet Trim and an Antique Brad and the new item I used was the Pleated Satin Ribbon. The colour is Blushing Bride. Isn’t it just divine?!

This card, you may have noticed is a teeny bit shimmery, here’s a closer look

I used the Vanilla Smooch Spritz over the top of the card when finished. I love this stuff. It just makes your project really shine.

Anyway, I will be back again soon with another creation to share.

Established Elegance

Hello everyone!

I just had a very lovely weekend with my upline Madonna and 10 other fellow demos on retreat. It was just fabulous to get away and just create non-stop……well maybe we stopped to eat and sleep, but that’s about it. I walked away with lots of cards to share with you all and I will be posting them here for the next couple of weeks.

The first one I want to share is one of the cards I made from the ‘challenge bag’. Madonna had a brown paper bag full of challenges. We had to close our eyes and pick one out. Mine was to create a monochromatic card.

I may have pulled this stamp set out more than once on the weekend, but hey, I cannot help myself, I just love it. I did play with my stapler on this one, though, so there was something a little different. LOL! I also have to tell you that I did use the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch A LOT! I used it so much and I asked for it so often that everyone just started calling it the KB punch for short because I also kept forgetting the proper name for it. LOL!

Anyway, I hope you stick around for the next couple of weeks so I can show you all the things I made and that I can inspire you in some way.

Before I go I just have to share with you all a couple of pics of my ultra cute and too funny Nephew Tre.

One with his mummy

And one with my kiddies. He is seriously cute people.

Thank You Friend!

Hello everyone!

Wow!! I have another card to show you all…..can you believe it?! LOL

This card was made for my very dear friend, Theresa who on the weekend hosted a workshop for me. I was trying to channel her while creating this fun little card. I know she loves layers and texture and things that are ‘vintagey’ (lol). I was told by Theresa that I did extremely well! Yep that’s right!! SHE LOVES IT!!! Actually, I nearly didn’t give it to her as I loved it as soon as it was finished, but hey I can make another one! It may not be exactly the same but close.

You know how I said in my last post that I love the ‘hello’ stamp in the My Friend Stamp Set, well I used it again. Only subtly this time. I also used the large leaf and flower stamp in the same set. I clear embossed them on the card. I did use quite a few sets to finish this one but the main element is from Field Flowers. The colours are Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake, with Very Vanilla as the canvas. I used the technique Emboss Resist just slightly to highlight the embossing.

I do love these sorts of cards even if it took a couple of hours to complete! They are so worth it, especially when you are giving it to a dear friend!

Framed Flowers

Hey everyone!

There are so many cute samples in this years catalogue that I want to CASE. Here is one

So very quick, simple and cheap plus a great pre-teen girls room decor piece. I know because my 10 yo daughter keeps asking for it! LOL!

This was made with a variety of punches and scraps of CS. After assembling all the flowers I gave it a light spray of the Vanilla Smooch Spritz. LURVE this stuff and I think I need to order another bottle or two.

Christmas Stocking!

Hey everyone!

I thought I would share with you all the current promotion with SU. It is a hostess promotion and it is super cute, wait til you see it.

If you hold a workshop in the month of October and reach sales of $450, then you will receive the Stitched Stocking SS (wood or clear mount) plus the Stocking Builder punch FREE!!!! Isn’t that super awesome?!

Pretty Cute HUH?

I have seen some beautiful things made with this set. I particularly loved the hobby-horse one. I will have to make one and share it with you all. But this is what I have made with it just recently

I just used the punch for this one and punched out some Designer Series Paper. In this case I used the Beau Chateau Range. The Polka Dot one though, is from the Mocha Morning Range. I used the Vanilla Seam Binding and twisted the tails to curl and adhered them down with Mini Glue Dots. I have accompanied this card with SS’s Creative Elements, French Foliage and Established Elegance.

If you would like more information on this promotion and/or you would like to host a workshop and you live in the Lockyer Valley or Darling Downs area I will be more than happy to help. Email me today!
