UStamp Spring Soriee Project!

Hey everyone!

I have been missing in action for nearly a week now. It’s because we, being my family and friends, had an emergency on the weekend. I won’t get into details here on my blog. It was very traumatic and at the moment we are all trying to adjust and we are all having counselling. I am also getting a lot of support from family and friends. Please don’t get me wrong, everything is okay! It was just a very close call!

Now onto my UStamp project….wel one of them anyway! LOL! We all know Easter is on its way! I decided to create something to hold the 100g Cadbury Chocolate Easter Bunny! Or of course anything else that would fit, like a bag of solid mini eggs! So without further ado…..

Isn’t she GORJUS!!! I had heaps of fun making this one and it is so easy to make! Punch art seems to be popular at the moment……or I am just seeing a lot of it! LOL! Well that’s all I have to show you at the moment. I will be back tomorrow with Keesh’s challenge!

Inkspiration Inspiration Challenge #19

Hey everyone!

That’s right! It’s that time again! Inkspiration time! When I first saw this particular Inspiration piece though, I thought I was going to have a lot of trouble with it. You all know how difficult I am! Or how difficult I like to be that is…LOL!

I am sure all of you fabulous creators will have no trouble at all. Here is my simple creation

After taking photos I thought it might have needed something else in the background. But I still like the way it turned out. I also liked using colours I don’t usually go for! Not a bad combo I think!

  • Stamp Set– Pocket Silhouettes, Kind Heart
  • Cardstock– Mellow Moss, Lovely Lilac, Basic Black and Very Vanilla
  • Ink– Versa Mark, Lovely Lilac, Mellow Moss and Staz-on
  • Accessories– SAMJ, Clear embossing powder, Heat Tool, Wide Oval punch, Ribbon Originals, Scallop Edge punch and Dimensionals

Check out the rest of the team-

They will have something fabulous I am sure. They never fail to show their awesome creative style.

UStamp Pass Winner!

Hey everyone!

Well this morning was an absolute disaster! I don’t think I will go into it…but let’s just say nothing went right! Also it’s not getting any better! Anyone else would just laugh but I didn’t sleep well so therefore awoke as the cranky old bat! Poor hubby ran for cover…quite quickly actually…..must mean he has been up to no good! I must investigate that!!

But anyway I think you have figured out that I didn’t have a chance to have one of my daughters choose the UStamp Pass winner before school this morning. So instead, just after getting home from swimming lessons, I had Darcy choose the winner! He took his time too. It was so funny! We had all the names inside the hat and he mixed them and mixed them …..and mixed them some more.  I had to keep asking him to hurry up and choose a name (remember…I have my cranky pants on)……finally he chose one and the winner is….

Another UStamp Pass Giveaway

Hey eveyone!

Yep it’s that time again!

Would you like to enjoy a months worth of project tutorials, prizes, chat and fabulous challenges?? …..of course not to mention the lifetime friendships you will make. Then UStamp is the place for you! And I have a FREE PASS to give away. Most of you know how I do this, but for those who don’t I will ask a question and you will then leave me a comment with your answer under this post. I will then put all the names of the correct answers in a hat and have one of my daughters to draw it out! Okay so are you ready??!

Q–  What is the name of the stamp set that I used at Team Retreat that had a nasty “accident” ?

LOL! Too funny! A few of you know exactly what I am talking about. Others will just have to read previous posts. I will give one hint though…….It is the first time I have used this stamp set.

I will be back by Wednesday morning to announce the winner….just before the kids go to school!

Well GOOD LUCK!!

Thanks for dropping by!

Rich and Crazy!

Hey everyone!

What a wet week it has been here! It is absolutely fabulous getting all this rain and will do wonderful things for our local farming community. But when we get more than normal rain fall here my yard floods. So anytime we need to go anywhere we have to go for a swim first to get to the horseless carriage! LOL! Yesterday it finally was dry enough to mow but towards the end it was raining again. But we kept on going just in case we didn’t get another chance.

I have another card to show you from the retreat. I took advantage of playing with sets that I don’t own while I was there, hence the SOCK MONKEY card. I challenged myself to use that card as it is a set that I am afraid to say I find to hard to use! But if you want to see some fabulous cards made with it, go to Karens blog! Karen does some awesome cards with that young fella and he has been nicknamed Hank. I don’t own the Crazy for Cupcakes set either and that is what I used on this card.

What do you think? I like the combo I have used here quite a lot. It is also a little sneak peek into one of the new colours we will get to play with from the new mini. I will talk about that a little bit later! The second colour is Apricot Appeal. It is one of those colours I don’t use very often. But you may have already noticed that! Well I best be off to do some creating. I will be having a late one with Theresa so hopefully will have something new to show soon.

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #19

Hey everyone!

I must be boring you all silly with all the Petal Pizzazz cards, and to think I nearly pulled it out again for this colour challenge. I decided to challenge myself and pick another stamp set. Believe me….that was a challenge. I seem to be drawn to it of late!

Here is the challenge-

I decided to pull out one of the sale-a-bration sets seeing they will soon be no longer available to purchase. I totally adored the houses when I saw them and I will know I will get lots of use out of them as we seem to get a huge number of “NEW” neighbours in the rental house next door! I think it has something to do with me!! Something like, “Oh Lord, here comes THAT stamp lady again!” LOL!

  • Stamp Set– Good Neighbour, Nursery Necessities and Pocket Silhouettes
  • Cardstock– Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Taken with Teal and Whisper White
  • Ink– Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose and Taken with Teal
  • Accessories– Chocolate Chip ribbon, SAMJ, Scallop Edge Punch, White Gel Pen, Dimensionals and Cutter Kit

Retreat challenges!!

Hey everyone!

While we were away on the retreat Madonna set some challenges. We used the three challenges set by the Elite Challenges blog for the month of March. We are sooo lucky to be part of a fantastic team!! We all had heaps of fun with these! I did the Stamp Set challenge even though it was a SS I struggle with. You will se my creation on here in the next couple of days!

Here is the colours

and of course here is my creation

Looks very much similar to a card I have done just recently. I am sure you remember it. I used Tangerine Tango. I just love this stamp set, I suppose you can tell that already! LOL!

I stamped the Baja Breeze flower in second generation and used my blender pen and Baja Breeze Ink to add the spots. I wasn’t going to do that but first generation flower was too strong and the second seemed to get lost on the card, hence the spots. I think it turned out very well. So well in fact that I received 2nd prize for this card. Mads organised gifts for all the challenges in first second and third! Isn’t she super nice?!

Well best be off and do some creating today. I got something in the mail yesterday that I am itching to play with!

Thanks for dropping by!

I just couldn’t help myself!!

Hey everyone!

Well you all saw my little teaser on my previous post……didn’t you?? It was about my little woopsie on a card that I made at retreat!! I even used a stamp set that has been something of a ‘I will never purchase or use that set’ set……if you know what I mean??

Well I bit the bullet, so to speak, and had a play. But I do plead with you all not to mention the fore mentioned woopsie….hehe!

It is pretty obvious isn’t it? Okay that is the last time I will mention it! But it is just sticking out there like a sore thumb……I just cannot avert my eyes from this particular train wreck!! LOL! Okay …okay! I’m alright…everything is okay! I just hope I haven’t scarred you all! I hope you are proud of me for using a set that just isn’t my thing.

Well now that the worst is over, come back tomorrow for more……well I was going to say eye candy…but it just doesn’t fit!
