Workshop Antics!

Hey everyone!

I held a workshop last Thursday night and I took photos!!! Can you believe it?! I have proof that people actually do attend my workshops. I just cannot believe I have not taken photos until now! Some of my objects were a little apprehensive about having their photo taken and sometimes hid behind pieces of cardstock or other people (waving at you Laura H) LOL!

So here is a pic of the girls and the project they liked making the most on the night.

I suppose you would like some close-ups of those fabulous projects!! LOL!

Here you go

As you can see the workshop was based around the Top Note die. The girls had heaps of fun and I think I have them all head over heals in love with Naturals Ivory! Hehe! I wonder how many of you I have drooling over this awesome CS??!

Well I have heaps of projects to get organised so I best be off to get them done!

Thanks for dropping by

Isn’t that a gorgeous colour combo?! And look there is Cameo Coral….. You know what? That colour is growing on me. Since I have used in a couple of good colour combos I don’t mind using it at all. Have a look at my creation-

I am really loving this card! It is very simple, but I enjoyed making it as it fell together easily. Don’t you love it when that happens?

  • Cardstock– So Saffron, Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla
  • Ink– Chocolate Chip, Versa Mark, Cameo Coral and So Saffron
  • Accessories– Clear embossing powder, Very Vanilla Taffetta Ribbon, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Scallop Edge Punch, Heat Tool, Dimensionals and Cutter Kit

Birthday Invitations!

Hey everyone!

I have been a busy girl and I have done a quite a lot of creating of late, but some of it I am unable to show as yet. But don’t worry you will! The sneak peek above is of the 18th Birthday Invites I made for my brothers’ girlfriend. She is celebrating her 18th at a fancy restaurant and so the invites called for a bit of GLAM! I think I have succeeded! Have a look-

and open-

The Pink CS and shiny Grey PP is from the local newsagent. It is from Christina Re. I added Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze to compliment them. I used the Damask image from the Friends 24/7 SS and the ever fabulous Baroque Motif vine is just divine, with mixture of Silver and Clear embossing.

What do you think? Would you want me to do your invites?

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #15

Hey everyone! It’s Friday all ready, can you believe that?! I know I’m having difficulty thinking that. I’m also having difficulty believing that there is only 8 weeks exactly until Christmas. I have my daughters fairy Birthday party to organise yet. I have the cake and venue organised, but we need to invite some people to this shindig or it will be a little quiet at the party. Not too mention my daughter will be very upset. So today I think I will start designing a beautiful fairy invite for the 20 kids on her fairy list….LOL!

Anyway onto this weeks challenge-

Makeesha

A square sketch challenge! The last time I did one of these I decided next time I would do a scrapbook layout……well it’s next time and here is my creation-

IMG_7583_1

I have not done one in a while, and I’m happy to say it has sparked my interest again. So you might see some more pages from me soon.

  • Stamp Set– Baroque Motifs, Best Yet and A Rose is a Rose
  • Cardstock– Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Bella Rose DSP and Whisper White
  • Ink– Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss
  • Accessories– Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punches, Kiwi Kiss Corduroy Buttons and Linen Thread

Don’t forget the rest of the DT-

I finally get my new phone today. My Nokia I have now is getting a bit old. I was going to get an iPhone but ended up deciding on the Blackberry Bold. It seems to have exactly what I need. Also I will be keeping my current number so contact details will not change. Guess I will be playing with that today as well as the fairy invites!

Colour Throwdown #50

Hey everyone! Can you believe the Colour Throwdown team are already up to number 50??! Wowsers time goes so fast…I remember when they first started and I even participated in a few. Well I was on the hunt for a challenge and I thought why not go for a colour challenge. Here is the current Colour Throwdown-

CTD50

There is no teasing sneak peak today…LOL!

IMG_7126_1

It is very plain and simple but with such strong colours I wanted it that way. And once again Baroque Motifs is my lifesaving back up/coordinating set. To vary the colours a little I used the second generation technique.

Can you believe I still feel like creating? So I better get to it!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #9

Hey everyone! How are you all? I have been super busy of late….you may have noticed because of my lack of blogging! But that is all about to change I promise. Tonight I’m going to a friends place for a ‘stamp it all’ night with other fellow stamping buddies. I am very excited about this. I can tell you! Just have to remember to take a plate of food…LOL!

Anyway here is Keesh’s colour challenge for this week-

Makeesha_Colour_Challenge_9v2

I must admit though, the week went very quick and I didn’t realise til last night I had to have this done and ready. Oops! But I did it this morning in rather good time! And here it is-

 IMG_7077_1

  • Stamp Set– Pun Fun, Calendar and Baroque Motifs
  • Cardstock– Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, Whisper White and Watercolour paper
  • Ink– Basic Grey, Ruby Red, Staz-On and Baja Breeze
  • Accessories– Scallop Edge Punch, Baja Breeze Ribbon, Ruby Red Brads

I have to pull out Pun Fun some more I think! Such a cute Stamp Set, and Baroque Motifs…well….it just goes with just about anything! What do you think? Which brings me to this question-

What is the stamp set you turn to, to use with another stamp set on a card or LO?

There would be some very interesting answers there. Some of you might not like using two stamp sets together on a card or LO, some of you may mix it up a little. Let me know what you think!

Anyhoo, don’t forget to check out all the other fabulous creations by the design team

I hope to be back tomorrow with my creations from tonight!

Thanks for dropping by!

Cuttlebug Special Project #6

Hey everyone! I have been a little busy this week. I wonder if it will slow down anytime soon?! Probably not LOL!

I have done another tutorial for my Special Projects over at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot  If you would like to know how I did this cute little wallet, go over there and have a look.

IMG_6949_1

My dear friend and teacher Theresa  gave me the idea for this one. This is the outside, and here is the inside

IMG_6948_1

Just too cute. I will be using it to put piccys of my little cuties inside and then I will be giving it to my mum! She will love it. Where she works they are constantly asking her how her grand kids are and how much they have grown. She will be able to rip this out of her pocket and say here you go. Aren’t they darling??!! LOL! Too funny. I best be off and do my creating for this week.

Birthday Girl!!

Hey everyone!! What a weekend it has been. I was just getting over Friday but soon realised I had heaps more on yet. I have a SU delivery, catch up with my parents, ring around 10 people and on and on it goes.Yesterday though the kids and I went to a beautiful little girls 1st Birthday Party {hi Amber and family} What a fabulous day it was. The theme was Butterfly Fairy Party.  So Akayla donned her Tinkerbell outfit and Darcy his little butterfly wings and off we went.

IMG_6767_1

IMG_6769_1

How cute were they? In this pic though Darcy is dumping the wings…LOL! For the Birthday card we went with the same theme.

IMG_6763_1

I think it got a little busy towards the end though. But I just love it though. And all little girls love pink and purple. I used Perfect Plum and Pink Pirouette. I stamped the swirl in Baroque Motifs three times in the back ground. Once in each colour then I did the third with versa mark and then clear embossed. Better be off to do some more creating.

Slider Card!

Hey everyone! I was over at Makeesha’s blog checking out all the inkspiration entries and there on make it Monday was a tutorial on the Slider Card that Keesh made in her Workshop WOWs, which I was in such awe of, I totally forgot to scribble down measurements. DOH! But thank goodness for Keesh! So I threw all my other plans out the door (you know like getting ready for a workshop), and got stuck into making one.

IMG_6710_1

And here it is open-

IMG_6711_1

I was going to do some more stamping where the sentiment is, but you know, it might have been over doing it. I tend to do that sometimes. Like when I cut the grass out from the Inspired by Nature set.

I clear embossed the Baroque Swirl in the background and stamped it again in just Sahara Sand on the centrepiece behind the main image. If you have any questions about anything else. Please just ask. Better yet go to Keesh’s Blog and look at the awesome step by step instructions.
