Inkspirations Challenge #76

Hey everyone!

Can you believe it’s Inkspiration time already?! Time is just flying by. I have lots to do and no time to do it in! LOL! This weeks challenge is a colour challenge and it was a bit of a toughy! I’m not a huge Poppy Parade player. But hey it’s not called a challenge for nothing.

Here’s the colours

I had a play with watercolouring, followed by Shimmer Painting!

It’s quite basic, but I don’t mind how it turned out. I did a little masking, a little colouring, and daubed the two main flowers with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. I did use Baja Breeze….I promise! I coloured it lightly over the leaves….can you see it, well can you?! LOL!

Don’t forget to head on over the Inkspirations Challenge Blog to submit your creation and check out the rest of the DT.

Inkspiration Challenge #50

Hey everyone!

You are all just gonna love this weeks challenge!! I know I loved it. The colours in the challenge are three colours I don’t use very often, especially Tempting turquoise, but you may have noticed the star gift box I made last week were in the same colours. I wasn’t aware they were the same as I made the star box first and used the colour coach to choose my colours. I then sat down the next day to create this weeks Inkspiration and had a giggle to myself! Oh well!! It was great to challenge myself and create something else with the same colours!

This card is for a very special mother who has it right now as it was her birthday yesterday!  Of course she loves it!

Here’s the inside……yep, I decorated the inside…..Shock, horror!! LOL!

So what do you think?? I think I have a new favourite colour combo!

Check out the rest of the DT, they will have something fab for your eyes to feast on!

Awash with Curly Cute!

Hey everyone!

Today I am visiting a very kind and sweet stampin’ friend! Her name is Michelle O’Neill. You may have seen her some of my photos from the Fundraiser and Regionals and we belong to the same team…the Mad Inkstincts! I am making thank you cards for all the people who helped me on my big day that was such a HUGE success! But everyone’s card is going to be different! I get bored very easily making the same card over and over! LOL! I hope to visit my other helpers soon and when I do I will post a pic of their cards!

I am enjoying watercolouring a lot lately it has been very therapeutic! Not sure why??! LOL! I used to struggle with it a LOT! But I think I realised it didn’t have to be perfect!

I hope she likes it!

A Fabulous Affair!!

Hey everyone!

Well first I would like to apologise for my absence from the Inkspiration Challenge last week! It is the first one I have ever missed and will be the last. Most of you know I had the RACQ Careflight fundraiser last Saturday and the week preceding was as you can imagine very busy! I just plum forgot and I thought I would be able to get it done on Sunday………that didn’t work. I thought I would just relax this week and come in with a fresh perspective this week with all cylinders firing……so watch out tomorrow!!!

I have to tell you though that we raised a stunning $1,962.20. The school my children attend raised a further $314.00. It was a fabulous event and I had a great time and so did the guests. Have a look at some of the pictures of the day!

I just wish I got more photos of the day, but that’s okay some of my helpers got some beauties on their cameras. I will show them when I have a copy.
We did receive a visit from QT (Queensland Times) and they did a little interview and took a couple of photos. Go HERE to have a look!

We ended up on the front page of Mondays edition….. OMG!!! But it didn’t end there. Channel Ten were in the area on Monday and asked if we would do an interview for the News at Five program. I was a little nervous but we did it, my hubby and I plus our little man. It was very strange seeing ourselves on TV. Even Darcy recognised it. They also showed some footage of the day when everything happened and Darcy told us that was when he ‘fell in the water’. It was a sad moment and Darcy and I shared a cuddle on the lounge as he remembered that fateful day. Poor thing…..I thought he didn’t recall a thing.

We were, however, so very happy that RACQ Careflight received more exposure and letting people know that CPR is an invaluable thing to learn. It can save someones life.

Well as you are probably aware there was a snippet of a card above! So that must mean I have something to show you! LOL! I received all my new goodies today….WOOHOO!!! So exciting. I had a small chance this arvy to have a play and what I have been most itching to play with is Awash with Flowers. It will be my new A Rose is a Rose.

I hope you like it and I am now off to do some more crafting!
