UStamp FREE pass winner!

Hey everyone!

I thought today I would sort out who picked the colours I used in my Playful Petals card and then I ask my beautiful daughter Jemma to pick the winner of my FREE  pass to the UStamp with Dawn and Friends with LOVE 2010.

The correct colours were-

Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss and Very Vanilla

Everyone nearly had the right answer. Most of you were just one colour off. Darn that Old Olive…LOL!

Well onto the announcement-

The Winner is

8. Charmaine Black  |  Thursday, 24 th December, 09 at ‘2:08 am’

Hi there Kirsty, well I think maybe Pink Pirouette , Riding hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Very Vanilla. Thanks for giving us a chance at this free pass, what a wonderful Christmas pressie that would be! Take care, lots of inky hugs from Charmaine

I will email Charmaine with the Blinkie code for her website to have the chance to win further prizes. Lucky Girl! The with LOVE party starts on January 15th, so there is still time to sign up and join in on all the fun!

While I’m here I thought I would show you something I made from the current UStamp extravaganza. The design belongs to Becky Roberts and is absolutely gorgeous!

Too cute! There is the little draw down the bottom to fit the gift cards and a box on top to fit the gift. Becky is one clever lady. Go to her website to see her original creation.

I best be off and create my projects for UStamp.

Thanks for dropping by!

All that Glitters!

Hey everyone!

I hope you all have had a fabulous Christmas, and were able to catch up with all family and friends. I know I have and it has been wonderful! My sister flew down from Rockhampton to spend a couple of days with us all. It was very special indeed!

Amongst the craziness though, I was able to create a very glittery card. Take a look-

What do you think?! I have had the Sticky Cuts in my stash now for around eight months and have never used them. Well it’s time for a change, I am going to start using more of the things that I don’t use a lot of or have not used before! {I wonder how that will go?} LOL! I will let you know.

Thanks for dropping by!

Love is in the Air!

Hey everyone!

Isn’t that banner gorgeous?! As you all know I am part of the Dream Team for UStamp, and this is the theme for the next fabulous project extravaganza! To celebrate this fabulous event I have been given ONE FREE PASS to offer to my fabulous readers! How exciting! A different project and tutorial posted everyday plus prizes! You will also have an absolute ball meeting new people in the chat room. {Somewhere I spend a lot of time…LOL!} There is also LIVE CHATS hosted by Dawn and other designers. Also you can share your re-creations of the projects in the photo gallery. A lot of talented people all in the one spot. How can you miss it!

But to win the Free Pass ladies I require an answer to my next question. The people who answer correctly will go in a hat and be drawn by one of my gorgeous children.

Here is the question-

What four colours {including the neutral} did I use on my Playful Petals card?

That is the card I watercoloured. It was posted on the 18th December 2009. When you think you know what the colours are leave a comment under this post with the answer.

GOOD LUCK!

At the moment there is a special “Early Bird” offer available. If you would like to find out more about this you can join here

Playful Petals!

Hey everyone!

I have been having a blast over at UStamp this week doing a few projects and meeting some new friends. That is why I have been absent from my blogging duties! LOL! But I have managed to make a card. Can you believe it?!

All the images have been watercoloured and I even used my Circle Scissors Plus to do my little circles behind the flower. Yep! That’s right no more saucers and cups to trace! LOL!

Well I have to do the rest of my Christmas shopping today. Not really looking forward to it like last year. Maybe it’s because I have no idea what I’m getting LOL! I was meant to do it yesterday….but we won’t go there!

Baubles!

Hey everyone!

I had a busy day today crafting. It was fantastic, even if it was making the same card over and over! LOL! I have designed another Christmas card to give to family and friends as I was over the other design. I made 20 of those (I will show that one another day). I made 10 of this one. Take a peek!

I got inspiration for this card from the ever fabulous Renee VanStralen. I love the colours Renee used, but alas they are not available in OZ! They are so rich and delightful, the in colours over in the USA at the moment. I love them all!

But back to my creation….. I used our current in colours Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette on Kraft. Oh how I love Kraft. Goes with anything! I used a variety of stamps to make this card.

The star from In the Stars, the bloom from Good Friend, the sentiment from Christmas Classics and the string from the Tree Trimmings set. I like to use a variety of sets for one card. But you already knew that! I should challenge myself to use one stamp set for a card. Gee, That could be hard!

But something else that happened today was my cute little man Darcy had his first ever buzz cut. I cannot believe how much older he looks! Take a look-

He’s not my baby anymore! Oh well I best be off and get dinner started!

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #17

Hey everyone!

Well it’s Inkspiration time again and it is Sketch time. I will let you know a little secret! I truly struggle with Sketch challenges.  When doing the other two challenges the colours or scene tells me what SS will be suitable and it narrows my choice down. The possibilities are endless with sketches. It causes me to think harder. I know how slack am I! But this week I decided to push all the little grey cells to do their finest! And guess what I have come up with two cards for this sketch. I’m pretty proud of myself, because half of the grey matter was sleeping! LOL!

Here is the sketch-

Here is card #1

Isn’t it cute?  I love non traditional colours for Christmas cards……..don’t you?

  • Stamp Set– Trendy Trees, Best Yet, Funky Forest Wheel
  • Cardstock–  Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
  • Ink– Kiwi Kiss, Close to Cocoa, Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze
  • Accessories– Metallic Brads, Linen Thread, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, 1 3/8″ Square Punch, White Gel Pen, Cutter Kit, Standard Wheel, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals, SAMJ

Here is my 2nd creation-

This time around I wanted to do something a little feminine! I’m loving the new Butterfly Prints from the Summer Mini!

  • Stamp Set – Butterfly Prints, Best Yet, Pocket Silhouettes, Flight of the Butterfly
  • Cardstock– Kraft, Whisper White, Regal Rose, So Saffron, Sweet Always DSP
  • Ink– So Saffron, Close to Cocoa, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette
  • Accessories – Pink Rhinestone Brads, Linen Thread, Eyelet Edge Punch, Cutter Kit, Butterfly Punch, Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

So what do you think? I think I did well on half brain speed. LOL!

Check out the rest of the DT….they do some awesome work!

I thought I would just let you all know that next week is our last Inkspiration Challenge, which is a Colour Challenge, for this year and we will resume on the 15th of January with the Inspiration Challenge.

Dancing Queens….and King!

Hey everyone!

Last night was absolutely fantastic and the kids had an absolute ball. I just have to show you some pics of my dancers

Sean Jazzing it up!

Prima Donna Ballerina Jemma!

Tap Queen Akayla!

Are they gorgeous or what?!

Akayla was in 11 different performances of Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Jemma was in 7 different performances of Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop. Sean was in 4 performances of Jazz. There was a lot of costume changing. That was my job on the night. LOL! They all danced together in 4 of those performances, so we were pretty busy there. Jemma and Akayla performed in a further 2 performances together. Is that confusing or what?! I was on the computer the day before doing up an individual program for each child and what their costume was for each dance. It was all so worth it though! They all enjoyed themselves immensely and so did David, Darcy and I. We will be back again next year for more dancing fun.

Butterfly garden!

Hey everyone!

I had a little play with the Summer Mini products last night and some of my old favourites too. I had an idea of putting the butterfly inside the sweet treat cup and make it look like a magnifying glass. I remember as a little girl I would go in the garden with a magnifying glass to check out all the little creatures and flowers. I was entertained for hours. To add some extra bling I added some glitter inside the cup.

What do you think? I think I have a new favourite card….LOL!

Well today is the day of the kids concert, so I must finish preparing.
