Workshop!

Hi all!

I am showing you today two cards that are in my upcoming workshop. They are very simple but very effective and if I might also add…..too cute!

I think I may have over edited the first card and the colour is a little off. It is meant to be Pink Passion. The second however, is Pacific Point. I also used BG stamps. Polka Dot for the girl and Sanded for the boy.

I still have more to create so I best be off and get them done in between all the school activities of course.

Thanks for dropping by!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #13

Hey everyone! It has been a busy week with for me, hence the lack of posts. The kids are home for two weeks and I have been trying with all my might to get ready for the big workshop I am holding tonight. I’m nearly there. But onto this weeks challenge. It’s a colour one. I just love the colour ones-

Makeesha

Very earthy huh?! Those three colours would have to be some of the first colours I bought when I met SU! I went for the earthy colours first. I did of course not get the Cameo Coral (shudder)  until I became a demonstrator….lol! But anyway onto the card-

I decided the colours could be adapted to a boys card and I haven’t done some paper piecing in a while so why not this week. I stamped the little stars in second and third generation in the Navy. I just wanted it to be a subtle BG. I didn’t want it to overpower the rockets. I think I managed to balance it well. What do you think?

  • Stamp Set– Pun Fun, It’s your Birthday, In the stars
  • Cardstock– Not quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Very Vanilla
  • Ink– Not quite Navy, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip
  • Accessories– Old Olive ribbon, Mat Pack, Sponges, Crop-A-Dile and dimensionals

I used the Crop-A-Dile to punch out the little holes for the window on the rockets. The little portholes are so tiny I would only ruin them with my blunt craft knife, so the Crop-A-Dile was the perfect solution. Those rockets are sooo cute! Sorry just had to add that in case you didn’t know…LOL! Please check out the rest of the team, they will have something fabulous for you-

I better get back to the hard yacker! Well pretend to anyway! LOL!

I cannot believe he’s TWO!!

Yep that’s right my baby just turned two years old today. Soon he will be in school and then a teenager and before I will know it he will be all grown up and moved out of home! Oh how sad that day will be when my last baby moves out and my house is empty. How lost I will feel! So I am going to enjoy every second I get with my little man and of course his siblings!

You may remember the layout I did a couple of posts ago about how to eat cake! Well as you can see Darcy is still a professional! Oh how he enjoyed it.

He also enjoyed his new sandpit and Tonka Trucks

But of course I had to make him a cute little card. I was a little low on the mojo though and went searching through my blog list! I didn’t have to go far. I was on fellow DT buddies Karen’s blog and looked at her last Inkspiration design. It is a little similar to the swap I received from her at convention. You have to have a look! Isn’t it just darling?? And here is my interpretation

I used some Clear Acetate behind the magnifying glass to give a realistic look to it. It might be just me but that ant actually looks bigger than the rest! No forget that it’s just me….LOL!
