I am having lots of fun with the Elements of Style set lately and the other day I thought I would revive an old fave technique. It is so super easy and also a crowd pleaser….how can you go wrong?! LOL! I will be holding workshops in the coming weeks using this technique on a few different projects. This card I am about to show you was quickly whipped up for a workshop party as show and share and they loved it.
For those who don’t know the faux silk technique this is what you do- Stamp your image as normal on your white CS, crumple up a piece of tissue paper into a very small ball (make sure this piece is bigger than your white CS base), unfold it and pull it back to the original shape, cover your stamped image with the Anywhere Glue Stick (this stuff is perfect for the job), then stick the tissue paper over the top of your stamped image and trim off excess tissue paper. There DONE!!!! See super easy.
This is a lovely feminine card Kirsty – really like it! Can you believe I have never done that technique? I really must get out from under my rock sometime! lol
