Inkspiration Colour Challenge #26

Hey everyone!

It’s time for another Inkspiration Challenge and I have to admit I really went for something outside the box. I have been playing around with my stuff of late and making things I haven’ t tried before or for quite a while. It feels great….it’s like discovering stamping all over again! LOL! Does that make sense? With this particular card I went for a ‘grungy’ sort of style……you all know that is so not my thing! I think I succeeded!

  • Stamp Set– Extreme Guitar, Sanded BG, Extreme Elements, Wonderful Favourites
  • Cardstock– Kraft, Basic Grey, Real Red, Whisper White
  • Ink– Basic Grey, Versa Mark
  • Accessories– Brads, Linen Thread, White Embossing Powder, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, 1/2″ Circle Punch, Word Window Punch

When I started this card I used Teneale’s technique from a couple of challenges ago? Do you remember her Wanted card where a coloured base was used and then embossed and brayered? I started the same way….but after I brayered I stamped the stars in versa mark poured white embossing powder over and heated, but I also reheated the clear embossing powder, I then quickly poured more white embossing powder over the card. It caught erratically all over the card but that is what I was hoping for…LOL! It gave that messy look as the stars by themselves looked too ‘clean’. I heated to set it! How do you think it turned out? I like it but it’s probably not something I will do a lot of! LOL!

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT

  1. Hey Kirst – I think this is awesome – something very different and got you thinking outside the box! But you never did tell me if you’ve tried to make a card using all 12 bold bright colours! roflol

  2. I was going to say this is not your usual style. But I love it!!!! Granted, I’m biased because Extreme Elements is kind of my personal Petal Pizzazz (*wink*), but I love how your whole background turned out. Very groovy!! Good for you for trying out all kind of styles and techniques. Apparently, you can do any stamping style beautifully!

TFS and have a fab weekend!
