What do you do on a rainy day?

img_5909_1Make cards of course! I made this card the same day as the Princess Pretty card, but ran out of time to post it. So before I start on my full day of creating I thought I would post this little beauty up.

  • Stamp set– Wild about you
  • Cardstock– Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Old Olive and Very Vanilla
  • Ink– Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky and Old Olive
  • Accessories– Bashful Blue Ribbon, Mat Pack, Aqua Painter and Scallop edge punch.

I have this thing for ‘A’ frame cards at the moment so this is another example of one. So easy just cut your piece of A4 cardstock length ways at 10 1/2 cm (which is the centre), so then you have enough for two cards.

I stamped the lion three times, twice in Choc Chip (body and head) and once in Pumpkin Pie (mane). I then dimensionaled them up. The photo doesn’t really do it justice unfortunately. I then used my aqua painter to do the background. Choc Chip for the ground, Old Olive for the grass and Soft Sky for…..well…..the sky. I haven’t decided what sentiment to put on this one yet, so I will leave that for another day. You cannot see it to well but I also used the Mat Pack above the ribbon. There are two lines, you have to believe me, I truly did do it!

Well I must go now and create some more, or I won’t have anything to post next week!

Thanks for dropping by!

  1. Just wanted to let you know that I am a little bit in love with the A frame card. I use your technique to make a card for my niece’s 16th birthday – turned out beautifully. Thanks for sharing.
