Another fabulous challenge from Kristina. Check these colours out! They sort of remind me of Halloween. Well maybe I’m just looking at the orange, purple and white. At first I struggled to come up with something for this one. It really challenged me, and that’s bad because I’m already challenged in so many other ways….LOL. But then I decided that most of the colours were very bold, so I would use minimal amounts of those to make them stand out more! (does that make sense to you?) It’s the old statement less is more.
I used the Priceless set which is a set I don’t pull out often enough. I stamped off the flower, butterfly and heart and then stamped them again, cut them out and dimensionaled them. I also struggled with the first blue colour Pacific Point as it is not available in Australia yet, so I pulled all my blues out to try and get the closest match possible and decided that Ballet Blue was the ‘one’. I used only a little bit of it on the sentiment (can you see it?! LOL). I managed to get the two colours on the sentiment by using my markers on the stamp, then “huffing” on the stamp to re moisten the ink and stamped it on to the Whisper White. I then used my oval punch around the sentiment. We don’t have the scallop punch as yet here in Australia, so again I had to hand cut them, so don’t look to closely…lol.
- Stamp Set– Priceless and Sweet Serendipity
- Cardstock– Whisper White, Taken with Teal, Elegant Eggplant and Pumpkin Pie
- Ink– Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie and Elegant Eggplant
- Accessories– Pumpkin Pie and Ballet Blue Markers, Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon, Oval punch and Mat Pack.
I really like your card!!! It fits perfectly with the color challenge. Beautiful!

lovely card – you and others are really tempting me to buy that sentiment set – is it sweet serendipity? I like how much white space you used too.

I have to admit that this is one of my favorites so far! I love that you used the whisper white as the base of your card. It really brings out the brilliance of the other colours. So fun!

Lovely card! Very crisp and clean I think 🙂 I really like your idea of having several different colors on the sentiment…something I have never done. I think you did it on a card lately with “dear kind and wonderful friend” and it looked just great! I’ll have to give it a try! ~Kristin

Just a tip If you do not have the scallop edge punch you can take the gaurd off your corner rounder and use it to make the scallops. I really like the simpilicty of your card.
