I have been such a busy girl of late that I have neglected my blog and therefore my blogging friends. But to let you all know I have caught up on that much needed gardening and Spring Cleaning that should have been done at the start of Spring. I feel though now a weight has been lifted off my shoulders with it all done now…..PHEW!!
Well down to business……This is my first attempt at Beate’s weekend sketches. I have always been an admirer of her work and fabulous blog, so I thought I might just get off my backside and have a go!
Isn’t it just great……..there’s heaps of possibilities, and you can use any colour, paper and texture. I kept it pretty simple though and came up with this…..
- Stamp Set– Season of Joy
- Cardstock– Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose and Very Vanilla
- Ink– Regal Rose and Rose Red
- Accessories– Chocolate Chip Ribbon
- Tools– Circle Punches, Round Scallop Punch, Dimensionals, Sponges, Tape and Scissors
I love this colour combo. It is one of my favourites and I like the idea of non traditional colours for Christmas cards. I sponged Rose Red around the piece of Regal Rose CS and snowflake but sponged Regal Rose around the larger circle. The swirls are stamped in Regal Rose.
This week I should be receiving my preorder from the Summer Mini…….YAY! I can’t wait especially for that scallop edge punch! (I won’t be doing any more of those hand drawn and hand cut scallops). So exciting.
I’m pretty sure when my order arrives I will be doing heaps of cards especially with that Eastern Blooms Set. Oh and I will be doing monthly stints over at the Cuttlebug Challenge blog as a guest designer. They liked my last tutorial so asked me to do something each month. How Exciting! So I will be working on that this week too.
I love your colour scheme – very uplifting. Awesome sketch – off to have a go.
Thanks for sharing
