Inkspiration Inspiration Challenge #14

Hey everyone! You will not believe the week I’m having! It just hasn’t stopped. But in saying that at least I am busy…right?! Four kids just don’t seem to be enough……bring it on I say! I can take it. I’m tough! ………I’m kidding, PLEASE don’t bring on any more….I’m not sure of up and down at the moment. I won’t bore you with my itinerary but I can assure you I have to book in bathroom breaks….LOL!
Anyway onto this weeks challenge-

And of course my creation-

I have to admit the art journal has nothing to do with the bed scene….but I used the colours. Urban Garden DSP matches it beautifully, so I went in that direction.
- Stamp Set- Jumbo Outline Alphabet and Calendar Alphabet and Numbers
- Cardstock- Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White and Urban Garden DSP
- Ink- Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy
- Accessories- White Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Crimper, Craft Knife, Dimensionals, Cutter Kit and White Gel Pen
Check out the rest of the amazing DT
Well I better be going and do some cards up for the Stamp-A-Stack I am having tonight. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute…don’t you think?

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #14

Hey everyone! It’s time for another fabulous Inkspiration Sketch Challenge! You know what though, I just cannot pick my favourite type of Inkspiration challenge. But I think I love the variety, a different one each week is just what the mojo craves! LOL!
Here is the sketch-

and my creation…..

At the moment I’m absolutely lovin’ white Staz-On on clear acetate. Actually I’m lovin’ white Staz-On period. I’m playing with it today, stamping it straight onto CS. I will let you know how it turns out.
- Stamp Set- Inspired by Nature, Flight of the Butterfly and Upsy Daisy
- Cardstock- Pacific Point, Summer Sun and Whisper White
- Ink- Summer Sun, Pacific Point, Versa Mark and White Staz-On
- Accessories- Linen Thread, Clear Embossing Powder, Dimensionals, Corner Rounder Punch and Heat Tool
I know you cannot see it too well, due to my crappy photography, but the sentiment has been clear embossed. I like it when the sentiment stands out a little brighter. I also wanted something else shiny on there with the acetate. I was going to Crystal Effects some of the flowers and grass to give the ‘wet’ look, but decided against it, I think it would look better with the green grass. I went for a meadow theme, and a meadow in my mind has lots of yellow grass and wildflowers amongst them.
I was actually going to ditch this card and try and come up with something else in place of the butterfly but decided to stick true to the sketch. This card also looks a little similar to another Sketch challenge I have done. Do you remember it? But I do love these colours together….What do you think?
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT
Well I’m off to go play with my white Staz-On.

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #13

Hey everyone! It has been a busy week with for me, hence the lack of posts. The kids are home for two weeks and I have been trying with all my might to get ready for the big workshop I am holding tonight. I’m nearly there. But onto this weeks challenge. It’s a colour one. I just love the colour ones-

Very earthy huh?! Those three colours would have to be some of the first colours I bought when I met SU! I went for the earthy colours first. I did of course not get the Cameo Coral (shudder) until I became a demonstrator….lol! But anyway onto the card-

I decided the colours could be adapted to a boys card and I haven’t done some paper piecing in a while so why not this week. I stamped the little stars in second and third generation in the Navy. I just wanted it to be a subtle BG. I didn’t want it to overpower the rockets. I think I managed to balance it well. What do you think?
- Stamp Set- Pun Fun, It’s your Birthday, In the stars
- Cardstock- Not quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Very Vanilla
- Ink- Not quite Navy, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip
- Accessories- Old Olive ribbon, Mat Pack, Sponges, Crop-A-Dile and dimensionals
I used the Crop-A-Dile to punch out the little holes for the window on the rockets. The little portholes are so tiny I would only ruin them with my blunt craft knife, so the Crop-A-Dile was the perfect solution. Those rockets are sooo cute! Sorry just had to add that in case you didn’t know…LOL! Please check out the rest of the team, they will have something fabulous for you-
I better get back to the hard yacker! Well pretend to anyway! LOL!

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge!

Hey everyone! It’s Friday all ready and time for another Inkspiration Challenge and this week is sketch time. Have a look-

And here is my submission-

I did a very simple version of the sketch. This is my second attempt though. Just don’t ask about the first one. It was absolutely hideous. Let’s just say it will never make an appearance on this blog…LOL!
I love this stamp set, it is just beautiful. I love how it goes with Kraft CS. If I ever pick Friends 24/7 up I always follow it with Kraft. Not sure why! So what do you think? I’m happy with it because I saw the first one…LOL!
- Stamp Set- Friends 24/7 and En Francais
- Cardstock- Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Kraft and Very Vanilla
- Ink- Versa Mark, Chocolate Chip, and Tangerine Tango
- Accessories- Linen Thread, Aqua Painter and sponges
And of course don’t forget the rest of the DT-
I hope I have inspired you to go forth and create…LOL!

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #12

Hey everyone! I have to say it’s been a bit quiet on the creative front at the moment…….I finally decided to sit down and read the Twilight Saga. I don’t read a lot of books, mostly because of my limited time. I really love a good read. I have heard so much about this saga from SU buddies and such I thought I would just get the first book and have a look. I will be the first to tell you I am definitely not a vampire movie or book fan! Eeeewww….blood! But after reading the first book in less than 12 hours (yep I couldn’t put it down..lol), I went straight back to Toowoomba and bought the remainder of the books and the DVD! LOL! It took me by surprise I will admit!
But anyway onto the task at hand
This weeks Challenge-

Yep that’s right we are up for a sketch challenge-

I kept this quick and simple…..what do you think? Too simple? Unfortunately the photo does not do this card justice! There is some faint 3rd stage stamping on the main image using some Winter Post elements. You might be able to just see them.
- Stamp Set- Christmas Classics, Winter Post and Forever Flowers Wheel
- Cardstock- Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and Bella Bleu DSP
- Ink- Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red
- Accessories- Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon, Cutter Kit, Sponges and Dimensionals
Please check out the rest of the design team-
- Amy
- Cindy
- Renee
- Keesh
- Debbie Pamment (this months GDTM)
Well I best be off and catch up with some crafting time!

Inkspiration Inspiration Challenge #11

Hey everyone! Second post for the day…..now I am positive something is wrong with me… lol! I first thought something was wrong with me as I looked at the Inspiration Pic….. I thought OMG! What the heck am I going to do?! Me…me without an idea is just absurd! Don’t be laughing Theresa! I can hear you from here!
Have a look-

Well most of you know I am a colour inspired person, you may have noticed with past Inspiration pics I have used the colours out of them….I suppose just like everyone else. The colours in this were really frustrating me. But AHA! I thought I can go with a theme instead!……I am soo clever! LOL! Being a kitchen….. and that all Cafe’s and ice cream parlours have kitchens. I went in that direction. In this case I went Strawberry ice cream. What do you think-

Much like a menu board or something in that context anyway! Do you think I hit the nail on the head? I used a little hardware and clips to simulate the handles on the cupboards and drawers and look…..I used the Very Vanilla and Going Grey to simulate the colours I see…hehehe!
- Stamp Set- Yummy, Tart n Tangy and Cute and Curly
- Cardstock- Riding Hood Red, Going Grey and Very Vanilla
- Inks- Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Going Grey
- Accessories- Riding Hood Red striped grosgrain ribbon, SAMJ, Basic Grey Taffeta ribbon, Eyelet Edge Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Brads, Clip and Dimensionals
I am sure the rest of the DT have some awesome examples to show, so be sure to check them out-
- Amy
- Renee
- Cindy
- Keesh (who…..let’s face it she does not need an introduction…LOL!)
- Debbie Pamment (GDTM- Guest Design Team Member)
I hope I have inspired you this week to go forth into the realms of the deep abyss called crafting and create something magical! lol!

I had fun with this one, I changed the circle on the right just a little and made it bigger, just because I can….lol! Have a look-

So what do you think? I really like what I ended up with.
- Stamp Set- Calendar Alphabet and Numbers

- Accessories- Linen Thread, Baja Breeze Corduroy Brads, So Saffron Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and Dimensionals.

Well of course I couldn’t help my self! I did a second one for you all to have a look at-

This time it is Christmas themed…….and well it won’t be long now and Christmas will be upon us. I think I had better start my gift shopping seeing as I have started making the cards! LOL! Here is the rest of it-

I wanted an aged look so did a bit of sponging. I must admit though I used four different Christmas sets to complete it….LOL! I just love to mix and match! I think I pulled it off! What do you think?

Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge #10
Hey everyone! It’s Friday again and it is time for another Inkspiration Challenge. Don’t you just love them??! Well, for me this particular challenge was a little difficult, I don’t do a lot of male orientated cards (I always put them in the tooooo hard basket) but this pic was telling me a male card was called for. Just check this bedspread out-

When I first saw this challenge I was like “Oh no!! But I stuck myself down in the craft chair (in other words the dining chair), and I didn’t get off until I had something I thought passed the challenge. Have a looksie-

What do you think? I still think I struggled to pull it off, but I’m sure my Dad would like this one. You will have to ignore my crooked sentiment, it looked straight the first time…lol!
There is a lot of distressing going on with this card. I even pulled out the sanding block!
- Stamp Set- Sanded BG, Circle Circus and Sweet little Sentiments
- Cardstock- Basic Grey, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip Basic Black and Kraft
- Ink- Versa Mark, Staz-on and Chocolate Chip
- Accessories- Mat Pack, Chocolate Chip Marker, Sanding Block, Bone Folder, Eyelet Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 11/4 Circle Punch, 13/8 Circle Punch, Cutter Kit, Basic Grey Corduroy Button, Linen Thread and Chocolate Chip Ribbon.
Check out all the other members of the DT,
I suspect they will be ‘Oh so inspiring!’ They always are!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #10
Hey everyone! I hope you guys are ready for another awesome colour challenge! This one is a beauty. When I first started buying SU ink and products these were the colours I first went for. Just check them out-

I don’t know what it is but they are just divine. I was busy all day yesterday getting ready for a workshop and nearly forgot about the challenge….Whoopsie! So first thing this morning I whipped this one up as quick as I can as I was hoping to go to Brisvegas today to catch up with Keesh! Keesh is stopping over for a couple of days with hubby…but unfortunately she has woken up not feeling too well. Oh well! maybe next time. I hope you are feeling much better soon Keesh!
My hubby and I might do something instead! If he decides to get out of bed!!! LOL! Anyway on to my submission for this week-

Some of you might recognise this design from a card kit I made last year! Nothing like pulling out an oldie to revive a little! These colours are very feminine to me, so I went with that and I like it. What do you think?
- Stamp set- A Rose is a Rose
- Cardstock- Very Vanilla, Rose Red, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke
- Inks- Rose Red, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke.
- Accessories- Scallop Edge Punch, Eyelet Edge Punch, Crimper, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, SAMJ and Mat Pack.
I have done a lot of second generation and even third generation stamping. I think it gives it such a wonderful depth and layer of colour.
Well don’t forget to check out the rest of the design team, they always have something to blow your mind!

Hi, I am a Independent Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator in Gatton, Queensland. I'm married with four beautiful children, Sean, Jemma, Akayla and Darcy. I absolutely love scrapping and cardmaking and try to do both as often as possible. With four kids that's probably why I'm 6 years behind in my photos....lol.
