Inkspirations Colour Challenge #15

Hey everyone!
This colour challenge was a hardy. I am not a huge fan of Real Rust since a close friend of mine (who will remain nameless….hi Theresa!) made a card with this as one of the colours. OMG!! It was…… something else! {a touch of sarcasm inserted here} It was a memorable moment. LOL! So it has been added to my colour {{shudder}} list along with Cameo Coral.
Here is the Challenge

and of course my creation

I hope you like it. I challenged myself even more by doing a Sympathy card. I have trouble choosing colours with this theme. But I guess making a card for such an occassion is never easy.
As you can tell by the first photo I clear embossed the tree and it stands out perfectly. The card is much nicer close up.
- Stamp set- Pocket Silhouettes, Thoughts and prayers
- Cardstock- Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White
- Ink- Chocolate Chip, Really Rust and Close to Cocoa
- Accessories- Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Slot punch, dimensionals, Clear embossing powder, Heat tool and Cutter Kit
And of course don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT
I hope you enjoy all their fabulous creations.

Elite Challenge….colour explosion!
Hey everyone! Just wanted to show you the other card I submitted to the Elite Challenge blog. This one was a colour challenge and you won’t believe it but it was another pink and black challenge….oh and Kiwi Kiss. But the pink was the brightest pink in the SU colour family. Pink Passion.
Now please pop on your sunglasses before you view this one…hehehe!

I love Petal Pizzazz and I have been informed by quite a lot of my visitors that they have now bought or want to buy this stamp set because of my creations I have put up here on my little bit of blogging heaven….hehehe. I have also heard Organic Outlines is becoming one your favourites…… I’m so evil. But if I get even a little of your creative juices flowing I’m happy.

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #13

Hey everyone! It has been a busy week with for me, hence the lack of posts. The kids are home for two weeks and I have been trying with all my might to get ready for the big workshop I am holding tonight. I’m nearly there. But onto this weeks challenge. It’s a colour one. I just love the colour ones-

Very earthy huh?! Those three colours would have to be some of the first colours I bought when I met SU! I went for the earthy colours first. I did of course not get the Cameo Coral (shudder) until I became a demonstrator….lol! But anyway onto the card-

I decided the colours could be adapted to a boys card and I haven’t done some paper piecing in a while so why not this week. I stamped the little stars in second and third generation in the Navy. I just wanted it to be a subtle BG. I didn’t want it to overpower the rockets. I think I managed to balance it well. What do you think?
- Stamp Set- Pun Fun, It’s your Birthday, In the stars
- Cardstock- Not quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Very Vanilla
- Ink- Not quite Navy, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip
- Accessories- Old Olive ribbon, Mat Pack, Sponges, Crop-A-Dile and dimensionals
I used the Crop-A-Dile to punch out the little holes for the window on the rockets. The little portholes are so tiny I would only ruin them with my blunt craft knife, so the Crop-A-Dile was the perfect solution. Those rockets are sooo cute! Sorry just had to add that in case you didn’t know…LOL! Please check out the rest of the team, they will have something fabulous for you-
I better get back to the hard yacker! Well pretend to anyway! LOL!

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #12

Hey everyone! Well we are back with the Inkspiration challenge after our brief intermission last week. I must admit I am sooo excited about the upcoming challenges. Must mean my mojo has popped it’s head back up for a visit, hopefully for a long time to come……lol!

I will say though when I saw this colour combo I was a bit concerned about red and pink together on the same card. It is most definitely two colours I would not combine. But once I had a think about it and had a image in my head of how the colours would balance well I was at it. How did I do, do you think I balanced them just right?

And of course some close ups-

You will probably recognise the box as Lauren Meader’s design for “Tucked Away”, which the template to is available for purchase from My Timeless Templates at Papertrey Ink. It is a very quick and easy box, and I am sure I will be making heaps more of them especially for hostess gifts or just a little thank you for that special someone. You can keep it simple or jazz it right up, what ever the occasion.
The card is very simple, but coordinates well with the gift box. I used a piece of acetate to cover the front of the card and stamped the leaf from the Petal Pizzazz set in Staz-on white. I adhered it to the Real Red CS discreetly hidden behind the So Saffron CS and the So Saffron Ribbon tied it to the top of the card.
Tucked Away Box
- Stamp Set- Best Yet and Petal Pizzazz
- Cardstock- Whisper White, So Saffron and Regal Rose
- Ink- Real Red, So Saffron and Regal Rose
- Accessories- ‘Tucked Away’ My Timeless Template, Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon, Spellbinders Nestibillities Labels Five, Curly Label Punch, 1 1/4 Circle Punch, White Gel pen, Dimensionals and Sticky Strip.
The Curly Q’s were made by cutting little strips of CS and wrapping them around a pen. You can make finer, or more curlier ones by wrapping them around and ear bud stem or something similar.
Card
- Stamp Set-Petal Pizzazz and Best Yet
- Cardstock- Real Red, So Saffron, Regal Rose, Acetate and Whisper White
- Ink- Real Red, So Saffron, Regal Rose and Staz-on White
- Accessories- So Saffron Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Curly Label Punch and Dimensionals.
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT
We also have two brand new members join our team to replace beloved Karen. They both do fabulous gorgeous work, and I follow their work a lot. They are-
They will inspire you no end I ‘m sure. I hope you liked my take on this weeks challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #11
Hey everyone! I have a submission to the latest Inkspiration Colour Challenge to show you all. Here is the Challenge-

And here of course is a snippet……

You all know how I love to tease…LOL! I went very simple this week. A little Water colouring, some clear embossing and a teeny bit of distressing. Nothing to fancy, but I actually love this as a boys card. I might just take off the ‘You’re a blast’ bit and put Happy Birthday or something like that. So without any further ado here it is…..

So what do you think? I told you it was simple but I love it….sort of…IYKWIM….lol! It’s going somewhere, let’s just say that.
- Stamp Set- Pun Fun and Classic Stars
- Cardstock- Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Water colour paper
- Ink- Staz-on, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue
- Accessories- Wheel Guide, Cutter Kit, Bashful Blue Brads, Aqua Painter, Clip, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Sponge and Dimensionals
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT-
- Karen
- Amy
- Cindy
- Renee
- Debbie Pamment this months guest DTM (very clever too this on)
- Makeesha(owner/operator)….lol sounds like a contractor.
I hope I have inspired you all to Water colour now. I find it very calming. At first I didn’t though…lol! It was very frustrating. Only because I didn’t have the foggiest idea what I was doing……actually hang on I still don’t know what I’m doing!!!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #10
Hey everyone! I hope you guys are ready for another awesome colour challenge! This one is a beauty. When I first started buying SU ink and products these were the colours I first went for. Just check them out-

I don’t know what it is but they are just divine. I was busy all day yesterday getting ready for a workshop and nearly forgot about the challenge….Whoopsie! So first thing this morning I whipped this one up as quick as I can as I was hoping to go to Brisvegas today to catch up with Keesh! Keesh is stopping over for a couple of days with hubby…but unfortunately she has woken up not feeling too well. Oh well! maybe next time. I hope you are feeling much better soon Keesh!
My hubby and I might do something instead! If he decides to get out of bed!!! LOL! Anyway on to my submission for this week-

Some of you might recognise this design from a card kit I made last year! Nothing like pulling out an oldie to revive a little! These colours are very feminine to me, so I went with that and I like it. What do you think?
- Stamp set- A Rose is a Rose
- Cardstock- Very Vanilla, Rose Red, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke
- Inks- Rose Red, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke.
- Accessories- Scallop Edge Punch, Eyelet Edge Punch, Crimper, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, SAMJ and Mat Pack.
I have done a lot of second generation and even third generation stamping. I think it gives it such a wonderful depth and layer of colour.
Well don’t forget to check out the rest of the design team, they always have something to blow your mind!

Yummy Jewelry
Hey everyone! AH HA! You never thought I would be posting again today did you?? LOL! But I do concede! There must be something wrong with me! {checking forehead for any signs of heat} Posting twice in one day??!! As you guys can see I’m lucky to do it once a week. But I was doing a little blog surfing this morning and came across Stacey Schafer’s blog and her Jewelry Colour Inspiration. I have seen these before but have never participated. I know, I know I’m slack! So here it is Jewelry Colour Inspiration #44-

I love the rustic and warm feel these colours omit! Do you feel it? Ooohhh I just love a challenge! Here is my submission-

I hope it tickles your fancy…..I like this one a lot…..probably because I have used colours I don’t use a lot of, excluding the vanilla of course!
Well I’m still feeling creative so I might head back to my desk and see what I can come up with.

Hi, I am a Independent Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator in Gatton, Queensland. I'm married with four beautiful children, Sean, Jemma, Akayla and Darcy. I absolutely love scrapping and cardmaking and try to do both as often as possible. With four kids that's probably why I'm 6 years behind in my photos....lol.
