Inkspiration Colour Challenge #16
Hey everyone!
What a week it has been and next week is only going to be busier for me. We have the kids dance concert coming up and the work end of year party. I am also doing up the gifts for each teacher, which means I am doing seven of everything! LOL! Gotta love it though! If I didn’t have this I would be bored….very bored!
Anyway onto this weeks challenge. Check out these groovy colours. I just fell in love with another colour combo!
And here is my submission-
What do you think? I love it! I might have to go play with that combo some more. I did some embossing, water colouring, distressing and punching. I really love how the white embossing powder stands out on the Taken with Teal. Very Wintery. I love Winter. I say that while I am sweating profusely out of every pore! LOL! I find it easier to warm up than I do to cool down. I might just install an indoor pool! I just have to find the hose………
- Stamp Set- Holiday Lineup, Sincere Salutations, Sanded BG and Winter post
- Cardstock- Taken with Teal, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie and Water colour paper
- Ink- Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Versa Mark and Staz-on

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #16
Hey everyone!
My weeks are currently going by in Hyperthrust Turbo Boost. I feel like I am about a Lightyear behind. Just when I think I have finished for the day I remember another project, job or chore that needs doing. But that’s okay, after the 6th of December, things should settle down. So in a short 2 1/2 weeks I will be back to normal…….I hope! LOL!
But onto this weeks challenge-
This time I didn’t go with the butterflies, but I didn’t veer to far from them……owls are pretty cute and I haven’t played with my Owl Together Now set since convention back in May. I used it for one of my swaps. I had three different designs for my swaps, but Makeesha liked the owl card very much. I should play with it more. Here is what I came up with-
I really like how this one has turned out. You should have seen my first attempt! It was shocking. It’s one of those cards you hide away, never to see daylight again…LOL! I made it with one of the preorder sets for the Summer Mini. The idea was good but the end result was BAD!!! Sorry Karen! It’s even worse than an ugly card. You can’t make me show it. LOL!
I used a bowl from the kitchen to create my circle. I will invest in some Circle Scissors one day soon I can assure you. With the heart I just smothered it in ink and then rubbed Crystal effects over it to make it glossy before I added the button and twine. The bottom strip of the card was looking a tad to bland so I used the tree from Thoughts and Prayers and clear embossed it to jazz it up a bit. Now I look at it I should have done that all around the card. Oh well!
- Stamp set- Owl Together Now and Thoughts and Prayers
- Cardstock- Very Vanilla, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss
- Ink- Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Tangerine Tango, Creamy Caramel, Riding Hood Red, Versa Mark, More Mustard, Kiwi Kiss, Staz-On
- Accessories- Ribbon Originals (retired), On Board So Tweet, Crystal Effects, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Aqua Pen, Designer Button, Chocolate Chip Marker, Cutter Kit, Twine, Scallop Edge Punch, SAMJ and Dimensionals
Don’t forget the rest of the DT and our special GDT
I have a workshop on tonight. The Stocking Stuffer and card. I’m all excited! It’s been a little while since my last workshop. It will be great to catch up with everyone. So I better get things prepared!

Trimming the tree!

Hey everyone!
I have a workshop coming up at a very good friends house {hi Rhiana}. Rhiana has requested a Christmas card and I had free reign on the design and Stamp set used. I wanted it to be simple but also elegant. I hope I have achieved that. What do you think?

I love this colour combo at the moment. You may of noticed….LOL! It’s a little different to the traditional colours, I think that is what I love about it.
Well here’s something you won’t believe….I have yet to crack open the parcel from yesterday with all the new Summer Mini goodies inside. So I’m off to have a good play with it all.

Christmas Classic Baubles

Hey everyone!
Sorry about my absence of late…..I haven’t even got a good excuse! But it might have something to do with being so tired lately. I’m still juggling everything quite well but it might just be catching up with me. I just had two days of no creating…….of any means. Not even getting ready for upcoming workshops. But today I sat down and played to my hearts content…..have a look-

I just love this Christmas Classic SS. Very pretty! The baubles have been clear embossed. I know you cannot tell by the photo. I’m in poor photography mode today LOL!
This was a simple design that just popped in my head and I love how it has turned out. What do you think?
I have also been googling for the perfect and most delicious Cupcake recipe. I think I have found it. I will be trying that out this afternoon with the kids. Wish me luck…LOL!

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #15

Hey everyone!
This colour challenge was a hardy. I am not a huge fan of Real Rust since a close friend of mine (who will remain nameless….hi Theresa!) made a card with this as one of the colours. OMG!! It was…… something else! {a touch of sarcasm inserted here} It was a memorable moment. LOL! So it has been added to my colour {{shudder}} list along with Cameo Coral.
Here is the Challenge

and of course my creation

I hope you like it. I challenged myself even more by doing a Sympathy card. I have trouble choosing colours with this theme. But I guess making a card for such an occassion is never easy.
As you can tell by the first photo I clear embossed the tree and it stands out perfectly. The card is much nicer close up.
- Stamp set- Pocket Silhouettes, Thoughts and prayers
- Cardstock- Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White
- Ink- Chocolate Chip, Really Rust and Close to Cocoa
- Accessories- Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Slot punch, dimensionals, Clear embossing powder, Heat tool and Cutter Kit
And of course don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT
I hope you enjoy all their fabulous creations.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack!
Hey everyone! Friday night last week I held my first Stamp-a-Stack. It was very enjoyable and the girls had fun. But I did struggle designing the cards. Why? you ask! Well….it’s like this…..I cannot make a simple card, I always layer CS and add embellishments and try a different technique with every card. I find it quite hard to balance and make a simple card look….well, amazing! IYKWIM!

So this is what I came up with! I couldn’t help it…I used some ribbon…and brads and punches…..LOL! But I did have fun challenging myself. I think I succeeded!

Hi, I am a Independent Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator in Gatton, Queensland. I'm married with four beautiful children, Sean, Jemma, Akayla and Darcy. I absolutely love scrapping and cardmaking and try to do both as often as possible. With four kids that's probably why I'm 6 years behind in my photos....lol.
