Cuttlebug Special Project #5
I have just submitted a tutorial on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot for this Organic sort of card (hehehe)!

It is a very easy card to make, but if you want to know how I did it check out the tutorial on the Cuttlebug site. And as you can probably tell I now own the Organic Outlines Stamp set. I just love it. So you will probably see more of this one in the coming weeks. So I hope you guys like it too!
You should have seen Theresa and I the day I made this…..It was sooo funny! I asked if Theresa could come over and take photos while I did this creation. It is so hard to show a technique while you are actually doing it and own only a 55-200mm lens (won’t be for much longer). Theresa was climbing all sorts of furniture to get the shot that painted a thousand words….LOL! Well maybe she was standing on my dining chairs, but it was funny all the same. We thought of, created and photographed this beauty in just under an hour. We were on such a tight schedule and we made it. We are sooo GOOD!! Ah huh! Ah huh! Thank you so very much for all your help Theresa. You are the best!! Can I book you in this week as well. I have more to do…..ROFLMAO!! No I’m serious I do!

Another little Summer Beauty!
I’m absolutely loving some of the stamp sets that are now available in our Summer Mini! I couldn’t help myself, I bought quite a few of them, but still haven’t had a play with them all. Better get moving on that. Not today though….. why not you ask? I will tell you why. Not only is it my youngest girls birthday but this morning, while in Crazy Prices buying Candy Canes for the kids Christmas cards, I had Darcy on my hip standing stock still, not twisting or tuning or even moving, my back gave way and with me yelling in pain I ended up on my hands and knees with my kids around me asking me what happened, was I okay, can I get up??? Very good question. I had never experienced such excruciating pain like that before. Oh yes I have hurt my back before, while working, twisting and turning. But I have never hurt my back while doing absolutely nothing. This is a first for me. You know what though NOT ONE person in that whole shop came to my aid……..that’s right no one. My poor children didn’t know what to do. I bit my tongue, HARD, got up and dragged myself over to the counter, paid for the candy (yes I was toughin’ it, buying that candy), the lady at the register ignored my obvious pain, even tough my kids were asking 5000 questions if I was okay. I just couldn’t believe their ignorance. I think my kids were a little bewildered that I was ignored too. When I finally got to the car I rang my Hubby, he came to my aid straight away. He gave me some panadeine soluble, and in about twenty minutes I was fit enough to drive. Thank God. I have been at home doing nothing since. But enough about my miserable morning…..
- Stamp Set- Ocean Commotion
- Cardstock- Clear Acetate, Soft Sky, Whisper White and Blue Bayou
- Ink- Stazon White
- Accessories- Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy markers, SAMJ and Glue Dots.
Very easy to do. I coloured in the rubber with the markers and then ‘huffed’ on the rubber to re moisten the rubber again and stamped straight away. I used Glue Dots to adhere the cardstock on the inside and outside. You can only see the dots on the back, but you can cover them with another piece of cardstock if you don’t want it show.

What do you do on a rainy day?
Make cards of course! I made this card the same day as the Princess Pretty card, but ran out of time to post it. So before I start on my full day of creating I thought I would post this little beauty up.
- Stamp set- Wild about you
- Cardstock- Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Old Olive and Very Vanilla
- Ink- Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky and Old Olive
- Accessories- Bashful Blue Ribbon, Mat Pack, Aqua Painter and Scallop edge punch.
I have this thing for ‘A’ frame cards at the moment so this is another example of one. So easy just cut your piece of A4 cardstock length ways at 10 1/2 cm (which is the centre), so then you have enough for two cards.
I stamped the lion three times, twice in Choc Chip (body and head) and once in Pumpkin Pie (mane). I then dimensionaled them up. The photo doesn’t really do it justice unfortunately. I then used my aqua painter to do the background. Choc Chip for the ground, Old Olive for the grass and Soft Sky for…..well…..the sky. I haven’t decided what sentiment to put on this one yet, so I will leave that for another day. You cannot see it to well but I also used the Mat Pack above the ribbon. There are two lines, you have to believe me, I truly did do it!
Well I must go now and create some more, or I won’t have anything to post next week!

- Ink- So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Close to Cocoa

Oh what a day!!!
And it wasn’t all good either. I’ve been on the phone most of the day talking to Government agencies. Need I say more! Talk about chasing my own tail….
But on to good things! This is the other card I made on Wednesday with my stamping buddies. Seems I was in a blue mood…..with a little bit of red. LOL. I pulled out my cuttlebug for this one. I spread ink over the raised circles in the embossing folder, placed in the cardstock and passed it through the machine. The piece that is showing is what you would call the negative side of the embossing print.
- Stamp Set- Bold Birthday and Priceless
- Cardstock- Kraft, Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, Real Red and Not Quite Navy.
- Ink- Not Quite Navy
- Accessories- Real Red Ribbon, Cuttlebug, Scallop Circle Punch and Circle Punches.
The photo has not done this card any justice. It is better IRL. Well I can’t hang about, I have a workshop to organise and I received this parcel today with these awesome goodies in it that I would love to go play with.

Cuttlebugging!
Well now that I have calmed down some what since my grey hair episode, even after finding a few more of those little buggers!, it was time for business again! A couple of weeks ago Maggie from Maggie Lamarre Designs asked me to be a guest designer on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog. How exciting! This is my first time. So of course I pondered for days what I was going to make. Would it be simple or little more in depth with more techniques involved. I chose simple. And seeing that Christmas is just around the corner that was the theme I went with too.
I had my close friend Andrea there with me. While our kids were playing I made my little masterpiece (cough cough). Andrea thought she might take photos of me at work. Don’t I look stunning?!! (some more random coughing). Maybe I should have looked at the camera. But then again I wasn’t dressed to impress.
Anyway back to business! I did a tutorial for this card on the Cuttlebug Challenge blog if you would like to know step by step directions. It was pretty straight forward and nothing too fancy or hard to do. But the card turned out quite nice.
I do love to emboss with my CB and I love the way it just lifts a card and makes it ‘ping’. After passing the CS through the CB (did you get that, sounds funny hey?) I then whipped out my Whisper White craft pad and rubbed it over the design so the design was highlighted. Very easy! I also Dimensionaled cut out parts of the stamped image in Old Olive onto the main image of Real Red. Tied some ribbon on and Voila! You have a quick ‘n’ easy card pleasing to the eye!
- Stamp Set- Season of Joy
- Cardstock- Old Olive, Real Red and Whisper White
- Ink- Whisper White, Real Red and Old Olive
- Accessories- Real Red and Old Olive Ribbon, Cuttlebug, D’vine Swirls Embossing Folder.
- Tools- Scissors, Circle Punch, Tape and Dimensionals
I will probably make some more cards this way for Christmas. Quick and easy is my middle name…lol. But it is beautiful! I don’t think any one I know would mind receiving this card.

Not long now!
Yep that’s right…..not long now and we will be in full Christmas mode! I should have started by now, making cards and buying gifts. I take forever choosing gifts. We have a huge family too, not just here in Queensland but also in Victoria. This year I also have to organise our trip to Fraser Island (can’t wait…Will be bliss over there). We are going over for a week near Christmas. We were meant to go last year but the cyclone kept us out. So I have a busy time ahead of me, but I think I’m up for the challenge.
I was browsing on Kristina Werner’sblog (again) just yesterday. Kristina does these MACM (make a card Monday) cards, and I really like the latest one, so much so that I CASED it. I didn’t have the exact products but I adapted and used what was at my disposal.
Not quite sure if I’m totally happy with my end product, but I will probably do some more….you know experiment a little, different colours, different paper and different stamps.
- Stamp Set- Sandy Lion acrylic Christmas, Party Punch
- Cardstock- Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Kraft and Old Olive DSP
- Ink- Chocolate Chip and Versa Mark
- Accessories- Purely Pomegranate double stitched Ribbon and white embossing powder.
- Tools- Heat Tool, Circle Punch, Tape and Scissors.

Another set of wonderful, bright and fun colours! Aren’t they just cute?!
I had fun with these colours again and definitely thought out the box for this one and went in a rounded fashion…lol.
It’s amazing what you can come up with using different sized circle punches.
- Stamp Set- Occasional Greetings
- Cardstock- Rose Red, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue and So Saffron.
- Ink- So Saffron and Rose Red
- Accessories- Bashful Blue, Rose Red and So Saffron Brads, Mat Pack, Different sized Circle Punches and Cuttlebug
- Tools- Glue Dots, Piercer and Snail Adhesive.
When I passed the Whisper White through the Cuttlebug I sponged So Saffron over the top to give the little circles more lift off the card. For the sentiment I sponged as well but I didn’t rub the ink in, I just dabbed it. It gives a lovely spritzed look.
For all who know me, they will be proud of me when I tell you all that I manged to do two double LO’s last night at the scrap shop. As soon as I have purchased my new lens (double LO’s are just too big for my telephoto lens), I will take photos and put them on my blog.

School holidays are nearly finished….
THANK GOD! You have to believe me, having four at home constantly in your ear about going here and doing this and doing that. I would just love to stay home just one day, maybe even two. It also seems that we go through food so much quicker. I was back at coles again after three days. My usual shops last a week! But don’t get me wrong I luuurve my children every last dang one of them….and I love spending time with them and doing our favourite activity (going to the park) just not EVERY day! LOL
I had a play last night when my kids were all tucked up in bed (after a good play at the park). You will have to forgive me though, I did another Bodacious Bouquet.
I love this colour combo. It is just so yummy!
- Stamp Set- Bodacious Bouquet, Always and En Francais BG
- Cardstock- Chocolate Chip, Rose Red and Very Vanilla
- Ink- Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Green Galore and Chocolate Chip
- Accessories- Cuttlebug, Chocolate Chip, Jumbo Brads and Fiskars Scallop Punch
- Tools- Dimensionals, Tape and Scissors
I really like how this card turned out!
As you no doubt already know I love to layer this set. It just looks absolutely fabulous! And guessing by the huge amount of positive comments I receive from everyone, you all like it too.

Hi, I am a Independent Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator in Gatton, Queensland. I'm married with four beautiful children, Sean, Jemma, Akayla and Darcy. I absolutely love scrapping and cardmaking and try to do both as often as possible. With four kids that's probably why I'm 6 years behind in my photos....lol.
