Inkspiration Challenge #74

Hey everyone!

It’s Inkspiration time again! This week is a colour challenge -

I have to admit I have been sitting on these colours for a while. I thought I would work ahead in the challenges, but these colours were stumping me. I actually made quite a few creations in these colours before I settled on this one. I think I just wasn’t in a Melon Mambo mood! LOL!

I do like this one, even though I made up my own exotic flower, I actually pulled out the Fifth Avenue SS. This is something I haven’t done in a long time.  The stamens in the middle of the flowers would have looked nice in So Saffron though, don’t you think?

Well I hope you like the end result anyway! It’s the best I could do…..LOL!

Inkspiration Challenge #73

Hey everyone!

It’s Inkspiration time! This week is a sketch and it is super easy…..but then again they all are. It’s the choice of stamp sets and colours that’s the hard bit! LOL!

The sketch -

So many possibilities isn’t there?! This week though I made a purchase that’s been a long time coming. My new SS is French Foliage. It’s all Teneale Williams fault!!! LOL! I saw this CARD and it inspired me so much I bought the SS and then CASEd her gorgeous card. Thanks Teneale!

I used the colours More Mustard, Early Espresso and Bravo Burgundy for my inking, very Autumny…don’t you think? Did you notice I used a bevelled window pane? I won a pack at convention {amongst other goodies}, so I decided to pull them out and have a play.

The More Mustard panel was sponged with More Mustard, Bravo Burgundy and Early Espresso and also stamped with two leaf types and  the splotches. The image panel started as Very Vanilla. The leaf was inked up in More Mustard, then I daubed Bravo Burgundy and Early Espresso on the edges for different colour graduations in the leaf. The sentiment is out of a current hostess set Because I Care {another set that Ten has me thinking about…LOL!}

I would have loved to use the Autumn Spice DSP, but I have none….YET! Instead I used the Woodland Walk DSP, which I think fits nicely representing bark.

Anyhoo, check out the rest of the DT and submit your creation at the Inkspiration Challenge Blog!

Inkspiration Challenge #65

Hey everyone!

Well I have finally made it!! LOL! Not just the card but the post too! I apologise for not being here Friday night.Things are a little crazy here at the moment. But I am sure it will soon be over and things will be back to normal programming…..what ever that is!!! LOL!

Here is my sample

I am so in love with the stamp set, Nature Walk….can you tell?! I was in a bit of a blue mood this arvy and had a play with Marina Most and Not Quite Navy. They work nicely together.

Isn’t that bird gorgeous. These stamps have such intricate detail, simply beautiful. I coloured the image in with sponges and an ear bud for the finer details and shading.

Well  I hope you I have made up for being  late….LOL!

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT and leave a link to your sample at Inkspirations Challenge Blog

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #39

Hey everyone!

I was very lucky to receive more brand new goodies today……and lots of them. I just couldn’t help but place another order……and another…..and another…hehee! Every time I open that catalogue I think Hmmmm I just HAVE to have that stamp set, ribbon, or DSP! LOL!

Anyway that’s not why we are here!! It is time for an Inkspiration challenge!

Isn’t that just gorgeous?! So simple but with endless possibilities. I had quite a few ideas running around my head…..I love and hate that at the same time. Love because I have heaps of ideas, Hate because I cannot do them all at once! LOL

This is what I ended up with

I am having heaps of fun making faux flowers at the moment. I have been experimenting with different styles and techniques, and having some fun along the way! I even maneuvered the ribbon tails to resemble leaves. Pretty cute huh?!
