Fresh Vintage!

Hello everyone!

This is a card I haven’t made before, I have seen them around but have just never put one together myself. Kirri {one of the girls at retreat}, challenged us with this technique. She gave us all the dimensions we needed, we just had to put something together.

I enjoyed it very much. I should do more different fold cards shouldn’t I? They are fun. I used a Sale-A-Bration stamp set Fresh Vintage and a Summer Mini Stamp set You Are Loved for the sentiment. The butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. My colour combo is Cherry Cobbler, Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz and Pink Pirouette. I might do a class on these, so keep an ear out for that.

Love Defined as- Sparkly!

Hey everyone!

Well, I just couldn’t do it…..I couldn’t …….I tried, but alas I failed…….miserably! I put it off  for 2 1/2 months. That’s a record for me, I have to admit! I tried to be good and not buy too many Stamp Sets out of the new Mini. I congratulated myself on doing so well and saving all those pennies! I nearly even printed out an award on the computer so I could frame it……LOL! But I have seen so many fabulous cards made with this set I just had to get it. That’s right people you have had REVENGE!!! All those times I “made” you buy a stamp set because I have created something with it…..I now know what that feels like!! LOL!! I bought Love Defined, and here is what I made with it

After photographing it I thought it could have used some spritzing to make it that extra SPESH! But eh! I like it! What do you think?

Here is a closeup of my cute little hearts!

Alright people I have been given the hurry on to post this card, by my extra SPECIAL friend Karen! Love ya!! So I best go!!

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #45

Hey everyone!

It’s time for a fabulous Inkspiration Challenge. I was so in the mood to make a card this morning because for the past three days I have been concentrating on scrapping for my kid’s school. I have mentioned before that I am having a stall at the ‘Christmas in the Country’ Art & Craft show that is held annually here in Gatton and it is the schools biggest fundraiser. It starts with an opening night on the Thursday evening and then a jam-packed two days of over 2000 visitors coming from all over SE QLD. That doesn’t explain the scrapping though does it???? Well it is the 20th anniversary for the Art & Craft show and they want to do something special for the event by showing a power point slide of pictures from the previous years of the event including scrapped pages. Having an album there for people to peruse past years would be just fabulous. I just hope I get more done!

So here’s this weeks challenge

Pretty cute huh?

What do you think of my creation?

I wasn’t too sure at first but I think I’m falling for it! LOL! I haven’t played with the glitter for ages…not sure why, I think this heart looks gorgeous. I don’t have a die for a heart yet, so I had to hand cut this one. Took me ages to come up with the right shape and size… LOL! I was having a bad hand-drawn day!
