Inkspirations Challenge #63

Hey everyone!

It’s Inkspiration time, and this time it is a sketch. I had a lot of fun with this one. Maybe it’s because I got to ink up some new rubbah! LOL! Tonight people, I am giving you a sneak peek at a stamp set that will be soon released on April 1st in the new Autumn\Winter Mini. I absolutely adore this SS and the coordinating DSP. I haven’t used the DSP on this card but I am sure in no time I will have it all consumed and I will be buying some more.

I haven’t played with the cracked glass technique in a while so I thought I would with this challenge as there is a panel on the sketch that is perfect for this technique. I love, love, LOVE this technique. Take a look at the sketch-

The colours were selected from the Colour Coach. Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler and Baja Breeze. I added the Dynamic Duo, Basic Grey as well. There is also a teeny bit of Perfect Plum as I needed a fifth colour. Can you spot it? LOL!

A little close up of the cracked glass panel. After cracking the panel I like to rub some ink over it. It gets caught in the cracks and gives them more emphasis. Now my panel does look a little yellow but that is because I sponged Crumb Cake ink over the panel before clear embossing. It looks a little like I have burnt the embossing, doesn’t it?! Oh well you live and learn! LOL! The three panels behind were stamped randomly  then spritzed with Basic Black. I love this tool. I find I am using it a lot lately.

Well I hope I have inspired you to create and have a play with this weeks Inkspiration challenge and I hope to see your submission soon.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT too

    HI Kirsty,

the cracked glass technique looks wonderful with the vintage look of this set. Love the colours you picked too – makes it look almost oriental.

Hi, I am a Independent Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrator in Gatton, Queensland. I'm married with four beautiful children, Sean, Jemma, Akayla and Darcy.
