Hey everyone!
For this weeks Inkspiration Challenge I was tossing up between a card or a scrap page because of the square nature of the sketch. But I had great visions for the Easter Blossoms set and had to make it!
Here is this weeks sketch~
See, that would make a nice scrapbook LO don’t you think? Oh well next time……. I promise when there is another square-shaped sketch I will do a LO…..here’s hoping I can do it now! LOL!
I discovered another cool trick with tissue paper too. Other people have already probably done it, but I haven’t seen it so I thought I would share it with you all. Do you notice my BG that looks like patterned paper? Well it’s not…..it is a base of Rich Razzleberry and I scrunched up a piece of tissue paper, spread it back out and then used the Anywhere Glue Stick to stick it down on the RR. Screwing it up gives it a bit of texture. I then stamped the blossom branch from the Easter Blossoms SS all over the tissue paper in Early Espresso. It all started because I didn’t like how strong the RR was coming across. I know you cannot see it as much but I love the effect, perfect for vintage cards. It is a bit like the Faux Silk Technique but in reverse…LOL! What about you….do you think you will have a go at it? If you do let me know so I can see what you come up with!
Also you may have noticed the little girls basket. I decided against the eggs and stamped the blossom again and you may notice up the top the rather large bunch of blossoms I coloured them and cut them out and put them on the basket. I am rather pleased with how this turned out….might just be my new favourite.
Make sure you have a play and submit your entry over at the Inkspirations Challenge Blog
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT too

Hello Kirsty This card is stunning. I am soooo in love with the vintage feel of the card. I will have to have a go at casing this one. I hope the technique is not to hard. Cheers Suzanne

What a fabulous scene you have created for this card, Kirsty!! Love the cherry blossoms (at least in my mind that’s what they are as we have so many of them around here and I just LOVE them). Great use of those gorgeous brads/buttons. You rocked this week’s sketch.

This is a GORGEOUS card and I love the use of the flowers in the basket, I’ve done that before and used the egg as a balloon!!! It’s certainly a fav set of mine too, though i did borrow it!! he he!

Beautiful card Kirsty! The blossoms in the basket look awesome & the tissue paper background worked a treat. Great “vintagey” feel. I love those little textured pink tabs peeking out from under the main panel.
