Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #55

Hey everyone!

I enjoyed making the card for this weeks sketch challenge! I challenged myself even further by using a colour I have never used. Can anyone guess which one that is??……It is Concord Crush. Not sure if I have told you guys but as much as I love purple I have trouble using it on cards. Bit twisted eh?! If I do use it, it’s usually Perfect Plum and is a miniscule amount and barely noticeable. This time it’s all purple….well nearly! LOL!

What do you think? After completion I thought it would have been nice to sponge each individual Perfect Plum square, but I don’t mind it! It was certainly a card of ‘firsts’. Not only was Concord Crush a first but I used my butterfly die for the first time too. Gee I’m slack!!! LOL!!

So go check out the challenge at Inkspirations Challenge Blog and have a play along and of course check out all the other beautiful cards made by the DT for inspiration!

Gorgeous!! Love how you used the silhouette image on the Concord and the butterfly is amazing (that is my favorite die). The touch of an image on the wind, the pearl body and the curling – perfection. Fabulous use of this week’s sketch!!

Absolutely stunning Kirsty! Love the dark background with the lighter coloured feature elements. I really like the thin, dark border too – it sets off the whole card perfectly.

Great take on the sketch this week Kirsty….I love the colours you have used. Great stamp choice too. Love the butterfly and sentiment and can’t wait to get some of that gorgeous crochet trim you’ve used. It’s on my next stamp club order. Hope you have a great week.

Kirsty love how you have stamped the image then punched it out into squares….a bit like a patchwork. BTW concord crush is my fave colour at the moment…..I love using it on a monochrome card! TFS Cheers Donna Zammit
