Hey again!
There is a technique I haven’t tried yet, and I was reminded of it again a few days ago while visiting the Stampin’ Connections site! It’s the Scratch ‘n’ Sniff technique! Have you tried it before? I have been wanting to do this technique with the Tart ‘n’ Tangy Stamp Set. It suits perfectly and when I saw this weeks Sketch Challenge I knew exactly what I was going to do!
Check out the sketch
And this is my card
It is very simple, I know but ohhhhh…the smell! It smells so good! The mixture to create the Scratch ‘n’ Sniff is 1 spoon of sugar-free jelly crystals, or any other substance that you can use as a “smell”, like cinnamon, chocolate and coffee, with 1 1/2 spoons of clear embossing powder. So simple! Give it a go and see what else you can find to use as a “smell”.
- Stamp Set- Tart ‘n’ Tangy, Enjoy Every Moment, Woodgrain BG
- Cardstock- Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red DSP
- Ink- Versa Mark, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss
- Accessories- Jelly Crystals, Clear Embossing powder, Cutter Kit, Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Dimensionals
Now don’t forget the rest of the DT

Love it, Kirsty! So sweet (pardon the pun) and pretty. Gorgeous card. Congrats on your new recruit, chick!
Hi Kirsty,
liked this as soon as I saw it. Love the colours and the texture you put in to the kiwi layers- just wish I could smell it too
Kim
The colors of this card are so vibrant, it screams of summer! Very fitting since we’ve been having a heat wave around this week – 38 Celcius and never dropping below 30 at night. I’ve no A/C, so this is torture…
Congrats on your new recruit!
It is always exciting to add a new member to our team!
Have a great weekend,
Cindy
I’ve never tried the scratch ‘n sniff technique … was it easy?
LOVE your card, Kirsty! The colours are yummy
Morning – just me again! lol
I forgot to say how green with envy I am that you have that woodgrain background stamp. SO NOT FAIR! LOL
oh and I had an idea – you need to stick that hibiscus tree under 24 hour camera surveylance (sp?). Tell the kids to sit and watch the telly and you’ll have them quiet for hours! lol

Such a fun technique you’ve used Kirsty – the strawberry looks super sweet. Wonderful work with this sketch. x
