Army Card!
Hey everyone!
I just wanted to pop on here and show you all a card I made a couple of months ago for a young boy who is totally Army mad! I also wanted to test my new watermark as you can see I haven’t been protecting my photos of my work ever since I changed comps and I finally sat down last night and made my watermark…..and it was sooooo easy!! I should have done it earlier.
There that’s better!!
Now for my absence……trust me it’s a good excuse! As most of you know I am currently organising a fundraiser for RACQ CareFlight, as we required their services earlier this year and I know I didn’t go into detail with you all about what happened but at the time I was not in a good place emotionally. I can now tell you that we nearly lost our youngest son to drowning in a cement water tank. He is totally okay, he didn’t suffer any long-term damage and was also very lucky to stave off any infections. We all are currently much better emotionally and my family and the close friends involved received counselling to help us get there. I think preparing this fundraiser has helped even more! I have received so much support and help from my fellow demonstrators, who are all my friends, since the event and I appreciate every single one of them! They are all now helping again by donating Stampin’ Up! product, ideas and their time for the fabulous fundraiser that will go live on the 4th September 2010! I am super excited!
RACQ CareFlight is an awesome service that relies heavily on donations and fundraisers such as mine and I am very excited that I can give just a little bit back, as it wasn’t just the service we received but also the flight crew’s support and love that they gave us on the day! As you could probably imagine I was a mess on the day! I also cannot forget the local Ambulance crew either. Just simply the best! They do a remarkable job and I appreciate them so.
I will be posting soon about the event I will be holding here in Gatton in more detail but be assured there will be fabulous projects and prizes and beautiful handmade projects to buy! And don’t forget I am auctioning off my Hubby!! LOL! I will let you know more about that later!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #28
Hey everyone!
My blogging behaviour of late has been a little erratic……actually it resembles my life at the moment! LOL! I am holding a fundraiser in August for RACQ CareFlight. We needed this service earlier in the year and they are a fabulous service and they rely on donations and fundraising to help keep them going. I will be putting up a separate post soon about the event in more specific detail.
Now onto this weeks challenge. These colours are nice but I don’t play with them together. They are all strong colours. I usually have one bold colour with a couple of neutrals and/or a lighter colour. So this was definitely a challenge for me.
I would love to say I love my submission………but I only just like it. It’s not my usual style but again…..you have to challenge yourself right??!
Funny enough though I had no Elegant Eggplant CS and I found I couldn’t use a lot of the ink as it looked odd without the CS to back it up! I know…I know I’m strange! LOL
- Stamp Set- Enjoy Every Moment
- Cardstock- Pumpkin pie, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
- Ink- Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant
- Accessories- Silver Brad, White Embossing powder, Scallop Edge punch, Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Chocolate Chip Double Stitched ribbon, Dimensionals
Now check out the rest of the DT plus our guest plus check out our winner from last week Sally little, who happens to be my downline!! Her submission is on Keesh’s blog, but check out her blog too. She makes such pretty things.

COWS!!
I just had to share with you all a project my little girl did on COWS!! I helped of course….but all the parents were asked to! Nothing like doing grade one again in your 30′s LOL! She presented it this morning and did a little talk on how to care for your pet cow! Well in this case just cows. Can you see what I used to create this masterpiece?? LOL!
Akayla loves animals so much! She is very lucky that she has a large variety of them to pick from. All of them share a horse, which stays at the farm with the cows, they have a dog and a cat at home and sometimes Akayla will argue the case that her younger brother is also an animal but just not the same category…LOL!! They have also owned Guinea Pigs, mice and birds. You are probably wondering why Akayla chose cows then?? Well all the children were on a weekly roster to show and talk about their project and Akyala was towards the end of the term and everyone who had done theirs did them on cats, dogs and ponies so she decided to do it on something that hasn’t been done yet, even though you don’t usually class cows as pets, she thinks of them that way. She is such a loving little girl and she loved me even more when I helped her produce her fabulous work of art…. LOL! I hope you enjoyed it too!

Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #27
Hey everyone!
I cannot believe how fast this year is flying by. There is only two weeks left of school and then the kids are home for holidays! I haven’t even started planning anything. How slack am I! But I do have this weeks Inkspiration challenge ready. Just in time actually! I tried starting last week but……..I had nothing, not a thing, my mind was blank…..believe me that is a common occurence! Last night I just pulled out some Baja Breeze CS and went from there. I have no idea how it came together but it did! LOL!
Okay now just between you and me I think my mojo has been stolen! I’m not naming names but I think you all know who it is!! I’m gonna sneak right up and when she’s not looking steal it back. LOL!
Seriously though I sort of do like it but I think I left too much white space. I should have done something there. I am happy with the BG though. I sponged some white craft ink on the Baja Breeze to create the effect of clouds and I punched out some circle and ovals to create the hills. I used Trio Flowers to create the shrub and trees. I then used my 1/16″ punch for the berries on the shrub. Isn’t it cute?!
- Stamp Set- Sweet Centres, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
- Cardstock- Baja Breeze, Kraft, Old Olive and Melon Mambo
- Ink- White Craft Ink, Melon Mambo, Old Olive
- Accessories- Sweet Treat Cups, Old Olive Brads, 1 3/4″ Circle punch, Wide Oval punch, 1/2″ Circle punch, Word Window punch, Scallop Oval punch, Dimensionals, Tic Tacs
The rest of the DT will have something fabulous to show you, so check them all out and leave some comment love!

Wild About You Birthday Cards!
Hey everyone!
Well this weekend was mainly spent reorganising our house so that we will all fit in it for another few years. You can just imagine having 6 people living in a 3 bedroom house………something like a night mare LOL! I did however have a very valid excuse to make a couple of birthday cards. The kids were invited to a birthday party being hosted by two sisters, one aged 2 and the other 4. I did say to Teneale that I was going to CASE her beautiful card from the latest Inkspiration Challenge. I however was not able to generate something that even remotely came close to the perfection of Teneales! But I gave it a go LOL!
As you can tell I gave this one to the 4 yo. I even decorated the inside just like Ten!
It was such a fun card that Teneale made that I just had to have a go!! Just soooo CUTE!!!
Okay now for the second card. The design for this one resembles the Matchbook Birthday book we made at convention. See…..no original ideas were rolling around in my head this week! LOL!
Sorry about the photo!! It doesn’t really resemble the card in real life! Now I must tell you that I made this card in 30 mins flat!! I spent so much time on the first card the second one unfortunately suffered severe loss in the designing section, hence also the crooked stamping…LOL! I think if I had more time I would have done it soo much differently, but as it was I only left myself 15 mins to get showered and dressed and drive to the party. Lucky they only live 3 minutes away!!!
I also did the inside of this card, but it is similar to Ten’s card as well…..I am starting to like doing the inside. Might do that some more.

Well I am sorry that there are no original ideas! Maybe this week will see me creating more ‘Grungy’ things! Who knows??
Inkspiration Colour Challenge #26
Hey everyone!
It’s time for another Inkspiration Challenge and I have to admit I really went for something outside the box. I have been playing around with my stuff of late and making things I haven’ t tried before or for quite a while. It feels great….it’s like discovering stamping all over again! LOL! Does that make sense? With this particular card I went for a ‘grungy’ sort of style……you all know that is so not my thing! I think I succeeded!

- Stamp Set- Extreme Guitar, Sanded BG, Extreme Elements, Wonderful Favourites
- Cardstock- Kraft, Basic Grey, Real Red, Whisper White
- Ink- Basic Grey, Versa Mark
- Accessories- Brads, Linen Thread, White Embossing Powder, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, 1/2″ Circle Punch, Word Window Punch
When I started this card I used Teneale’s technique from a couple of challenges ago? Do you remember her Wanted card where a coloured base was used and then embossed and brayered? I started the same way….but after I brayered I stamped the stars in versa mark poured white embossing powder over and heated, but I also reheated the clear embossing powder, I then quickly poured more white embossing powder over the card. It caught erratically all over the card but that is what I was hoping for…LOL! It gave that messy look as the stars by themselves looked too ‘clean’. I heated to set it! How do you think it turned out? I like it but it’s probably not something I will do a lot of! LOL!
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the DT
