Inkspirations Inspiration Challenge #10

Hey everyone! It’s Friday again and it is time for another Inkspiration Challenge. Don’t you just love them??! Well, for me this particular challenge was a little difficult, I don’t do a lot of male orientated cards (I always put them in the tooooo hard basket) but this pic was telling me a male card was called for. Just check this bedspread out-

When I first saw this challenge I was like “Oh no!!  But I stuck myself down in the craft chair (in other words the dining chair), and I didn’t get off until I had something I thought passed the challenge. Have a looksie-

What do you think? I still think I struggled to pull it off, but I’m sure my Dad would like this one. You will have to ignore my crooked sentiment, it looked straight the first time…lol!

There is a lot of distressing going on with this card. I even pulled out the sanding block!

  • Stamp Set– Sanded BG, Circle Circus and Sweet little Sentiments
  • Cardstock– Basic Grey, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip Basic Black and Kraft
  • Ink– Versa Mark, Staz-on and Chocolate Chip
  • Accessories– Mat Pack, Chocolate Chip Marker, Sanding Block, Bone Folder, Eyelet Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 11/4 Circle Punch, 13/8 Circle Punch, Cutter Kit, Basic Grey Corduroy Button, Linen Thread and Chocolate Chip Ribbon.

Check out all the other members of the DT,

I suspect they will be ‘Oh so inspiring!’ They always are!

Thanks for dropping by!

  2. Your card looks great!! Love the stamp set you used for the inspiration card. I just fininshed making a couple of 21st cards for tonight (the five minute variety – IYKWIM 😉 ). I should have come here first and seen this for inspiration. BTW, I’ll be coming over shortly to ‘borrow’ some dimensions to finish off my excuse for a card. Tee hee.

  3. What a nice surprise to see the Circle Circus set used for a distressed look. All I have seen so far is this in the bright/bold colors (which is nice alsoO). I would have never thought to use it for this look, and it really turned out nice. Looks like you bought the paper with this design already printed on it. Great job on the challenge.

  4. Sorry to put you out of your comfort zone Kirsty, but hey I think it works a treat for you because you always pull off a ripper card! I love everything about this creation, but especially the background paper you made, and the diagonal scoring rocks! Thanks so much for your inspired creation this week! Love Keesh PS I am with Karen, it is about time you made something ugly 🙂 xx
