How many of you??
Hey everyone! I was just looking at my previous posts and have come to realise that I have been using a LOT and I mean a LOT of Organic Outlines. It has also been pointed out by my good friend Theresa! Thanks Theresa! This brings me to my next question, well a couple of questions-
- How many of you are sick of seeing me use it? lol
- How many of you have been inspired to buy it or use it more? and of course
- How many of you have I converted?
Well in any case I hope I have given you many good ideas and heaps of inspiration! But wait! There’s more……lol! I have one more to show you and this one is the workshop I held last Friday night. They all enjoyed what they made too.
Here it is-

It is a very simple and easy double LO, with just a Whisper White base with cut out and layered Petal Pizzazz flowers, oh and a couple of lady bugs! It was such a fun page to do. A couple of people changed the ink colours to suit their own photos and their work was amazing…..absolutely amazing.
Well that’s it for me today, I had better go and clean up after our huge garage sale! I am taking some stuff to Lifeline today, things like clothes, shoes and books, and just a general clean up. Hopefully we might have some time to have a drive down to the Botanical Gardens in Brissy today and have some family time. Don’t fancy my chances though..lol!
Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #9
Hey everyone!! Well, I’m nearly there. I have nearly completed going through all our belongings and deciding whether it is going in the garage sale or not. Oh my! Do we own some crap or what?? Lot’s and lots of crap. Not that it is crappy but just a lot of stuff. You will all be proud of me too. I went through all my scrapping stuff and thought realistically about it all. You know,
- “When is the last time I used this?”,
- “Have I used this?”
- “Will I use this?” and the old goodie
- “Why did I buy this??”
But you’re not here to listen about all that! You’re here for a card!
Now here is Makeesha’s sketch for this week-

And of course my submission-

Unfortunately it is not too special! I had a hard time getting my act together for this one. The sketch itself great and there are so many things you can do with it. It’s just me, I’m having an off week I think.
- Stamp Set- Organic Outlines, Always and Sanded BG
- Cardstock- Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White and Kraft
- Inks- Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, So Saffron and Versa Mark
- Accessories- Heat Tool, SAMJ, Dimensionals, Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Designer buttons (Latte), Chocolate Chip Ink Refill, Linen Thread, Cutter Kit and Clear Embossing Powder
Please check out the rest of the design team…..they WOW me every week!
You will not be disappointed!
Anyhoo I better get back into the swing of garaging! LOL!
Kristina Werner Colour Inspiration #54
Hey everyone! Amidst trying to get together all the things we are selling at our garage sale, I sat down for five minutes to check emails and saw Kristina’s latest CI. Are these colours bright or what??

But they are sooo fresh and funky. I love it! I’m on a huge Organic Outlines kick at the moment so I incorporated that set as well. Here is the outcome-

I also opted for the long and thin card measuring 21 cm (h) x 18 cm just for something a little different. Theresa was again my saviour (she must be sick of that by now…LOL) once again, came over and got my mojo flowing again. I think when I see her create, I can too. Asking her opinion along the way though!! LOL!!
But I must say I did enjoy creating today. It was a great reprieve from going through all my scrapping and craft stuff and sorting out what I’m keeping and what is going in the garage sale…..how depressing!! Do I have too?? LOL! Well better get back to it.
Inkspiration Inspiration #8
Hey everyone! I’m really enjoying being a designer for Makeesha’s challenges. They are so much fun and challenges are soooo my thing…LOL! This week was just a teency bit hard for me, so unfortunately it is not absolutely fabulous. I love it when something comes together so easily, but alas this one was not coming together for me too well.
Here is the inspiration pic-

Here is my submission-

I must admit though I did learn something new! For myself anyway, I, by no means, am saying that this is my own idea, I’m sure someone else has done it. But I have not yet heard or seen it before.
What happened was- I was thinking that white embossing powder would be too bright for the leaves. Going by the pic they seemed a shimmery white. I also thought that Clear would not be bright enough, so in a light bulb moment I decided to mix the two together. I thought this is either going to rock or it would be a disaster, especially wasting embossing powder by mixing them. But you never know if you don’t give it a go…..right?
So the result……I loved it! The texture it gave was wonderful and it even looked shimmery because in spots you could see through the embossing to see the colour below. Here is a close up-

Cool hey??? I’m not too sure about the rest of the design though….it seemed a little ….blah to me. What do you think?
- Stamp Set- Organic Outlines, Circle Circus and Bet Yet
- Cardstock- Old Olive and Sahara Sand
- Ink- Versa Mark, Sahara Sand and Old Olive
- Accessories- Clear Embossing Powder, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4 Circle Punch, Cuttlebug Circle Label Die, Cuttlebug Machine, Dimensionals and Old Olive Ribbon
Anyway check out the other DT’s efforts I’m sure they will astound you.
I hope I have inspired you all in some way this week
Ladybug Love!!
Hey everyone! I do apologise for being missing in action for soooo long. But I have good reason but I will not bore you with the details….yet!!
Again my saviour, Theresa, for good mojo came by today and got me out of my non creating episode. She made this cute little adorable ladybug card and I just had to have one of my own. So I made one!
Aren’t those bugs just the cutest?? Sorry about the quality of the photo. I always have trouble with red CS. Don’t know why! Here’s a close up of the bugs

I also find when stamping black onto a coloured CS that Staz-on is the best choice. The image is not as blotchy as basic black leaves behind.
Sorry to say I cannot stay and chat. I have a daughter displaying her “Special Talent” at school today and I have to take all her dance stuff in and get her ready. Maybe I will get some photos.
Inkspiration Colour Challenge #8
Hey everyone! Welcome back for another awesome Colour Inkspiration from Makeesha! This challenge was, at first, a little daunting! Pink Passion is not something I work with often. I really should broaden my colour choices hey?? I am saying something like this every week! LOL! Here are the colours-

I used the butterflies as inspiration as well and made a little garden scene! Oh so cute!

What do you think? There was a lot of second stage stamping going on with this card. I wanted it to be a little more subtle. How do you think I went especially using these bright colours? Well as it turned out I just couldn’t stop at one! Here’s another to get your inspiration flowing-

I wanted the little curly Q’s to be smaller, but I left it as it is. I don’t know what it is but I just love bright, vibrant colours on a white BG! What do you think of it?
Please check out the other DT’s entries. I’m sure they will have something beautiful to show as always.
And of course the creator of these lovely inspirations Keesh!
Another Organics!
Hey everyone! I have been such a good blogger these days, posting nearly everyday. I am being rewarded though with the most wonderful and sweet comments by my SU gurus, blogging buddies and friends! It is such a wonderful feeling to check emails and see that there are comments just waiting for me to read. Just love it!
But on to today’s card-

I love the effect that this stamp set gives. Such a great BG! But in such a way that you don’t need to add to much more to finish it off! I did use the Damask element out of the Friends 24/7 set though on the Kraft base. I used Sahara Sand ink in second generation. And look! Sponging and distressing. LOL! I hope you like today’s efforts! I will see you tomorrow with Keesh’s Inkspiraion!
Elite Challenges!
Hey everyone! I have been a little slack with the Elite Challenges of late…..but slack no more! Once I have posted this Stamp set challenge, I am going to go and do the Sketch challenge and then the Colour one. I plan to be a busy girl. LOL! If I wasn’t already!
Have you noticed anything?? Yep that’s right! I have done no sponging or distressing of any sort. I should use this card as a “Step it Up!” card and glam it up a bit! What do you think??
Well I best be off and get started on all these new projects.
